I'd like to dd a GPS module to this, which is the smallest and best option I hve?

Look into Adafruit GPS modules compatible with the arduino. I know they have shield GPS modules for the uno so you can probably find an unshielded version to use on the micro. Basically go to adafruit.com and take a look. They also helped design the micro so best chance for compatibility.

What are the dimensions (and weight) of the board? Amazon only seems to list the packaging dimensions.

Excellent product( better to buy the original one ; hehehehehe!)

A must have if you want to shrinkify your arduino projects without the need for oscillators and capacitors to get it running(if you are making an arduino on a breadboard using the standalone IC) and you get a fully functional USB micro serial port which can also be used as an usb host.
