Rust-Oleum Whink 1261 Rust Stain Remover, 6 oz

I used the entire small bottle for two tubs however it worked great. I used a damp rag to wipe it around and it did not require an insane amount of effort of scrubbing to get the rust off. You can see the rust disappear as you spray it on the tub. Interested to see how long it lasts.

Works. Good price. Left on for 2 minutes before scrubbing off. Removed the rust stain that was on linoleum tile for years. Not thick, watery.

Seriously, how is this stuff not top shelf front row. There is NO rust it can't remove. And it just wipes away, no hard rubbing or elbow grease needed. It's incredible. I used it for water rust stains from sinks or showers. Removes rust stains like water. Stove top grills, BBQs, cutlery, Anything. I don't know how it does it so well. I've tried many things over the years and then came across this and wow. I can't believe how it just makes rust wipe away so easily. It's like magic. And it works on many other things too. My white porcelain sink had grey scratches from idk for years. I'd tried many things to remove it, and was about to refinish the sink when I thought to try this first. So glad I did, just wiped the grey scratches away. Wow. Removes marks aluminum makes on porcelain too. Removes rust from tools left outside like they were brand new again, without scrubbing. Restored my rusted bike gears without scrubbing, just poured some on, wait a minute, wipe off, like new. Get some, you'll be amazed.

Used for rust spots on light colored carpeting on my back porch from metal cap, the bottoms of some furniture legs. Completely removed rust stains. Has a weird smell, but I used it just before shampooing the carpet and that worked well.

This stuff works amazingly at getting the nasty orange stains out of clothing that is a combination of sunscreen, body oil and heavy metal well water. I used it on stains that have been in clothing for at least 7 years which is the last time I used the type of sunscreen that causes these stains. It does require quite a lot of soaking and a lot of the product but these stains have faded to at least a pale, pale yellow if not completely disappeared on some garments. These garments had been washed multiple times and other methods for stain removal had been tried. I do historical reenactment and these were my undergarments all handmade out of white or off-white cotton so I didn't feel like re-doing them. If you want to use this on colored fabric I would pick a piece that is fairly separate and hidden for testing on. Even diluted this material itches when it contacts skin. I did wear tall gloves but when rinsing the garments it is easy to get splashed. I will personally be buying more bottles to work on additional items and to hopefully get the remainder of the discoloration out of the ones I already worked on.

I had tried 3 different things Wirecutter recommends, but this was the only thing that could get rid of dried rust stains on cotton khaki pants. There was some slight discoloration, so do test it on fabric first, then apply to stain only, not surrounding fabric.

If you have high iron content in your water and get rust stains in your sink or toilet bowl, this is the easiest way to get rid of them. We also got a free glass table meant for the outdoors that had a big rust stain on it. This was the only thing I could get it off with.

Great at removing stains that are stubborn to other stain removers

This product is a miracle! My old washing machine left some severe rust stains on my Madonna t-shirt. It got all the stains out immaculately. I would highly recommend this product.
