I received the bug shield in the factory box, which was well-protected. Installation was a breeze, make sure you mark which factory tabs come off so you don't pull out the wrong ones. Highly recommend to anyone with a truck! Looks great too.

The smoke Bugflector 2 looks great on my 2022 Ram 1500 5th gen. Installation is horrendous. The clips packaged with the deflector are too big and don’t work. Here is what I did: I bought the GOOACC 635Pcs Car Push Retainer Clips for under $20. I used the clip shown in the photo with this review to attach the deflector to the body in the existing holes (6 of them). In other words, I did not sandwich the rubber seal and the deflector under the clip, as clip I used is too small for that. Then, I used 3M double sided advanced auto tape to attach the rubber seal to the deflector at the clip points. It’s been on about 10 minutes, so I can’t vouch for longevity, but all seems okay. It’s a 2 person install.

Installation is a breeze if you follow the directions. Do not remove any more of your original retainers than necessary. They are going to all break when removing them! It's best to have a steel clip removal tool since it takes some force to break the OEM clips. A extra set of hands will help when tucking the plastic between the hood and rubber seal. The supplied retainers seem a little long on the end holes but if you push them in while tightening them they will seat fine. They're also cheap ( in quality) and I couldn't feel them ever get tight. They seem to hold it in place though. It looks good and sits an inch or so above the hood and doesn't bounce at highway speed. Time will tell if that lasts but it looks good and does deflect a lot of bugs.

The part and screws that you receive will work fine if you do the following steps: 1.) Two person job 2.) When you put the center clip into the hole the outer clip and visor must be firmly pressed (I used a screwdriver to press hard down on it) on the hood. 3.) You will need to lower the hood screws that control the height of the hood. When you go to close it with the factory setting it will most likely not close (your mileage may vary). The screws have detents that allow you to have the same height on both sides. I screwed down three clicks. 4.) For Ram 1500, the old clips will not come easily but be careful to only remove 6 clips (3 on each sides). 5.) Overall very nice but please fix your instructions page (the QR code doesn't work) and they should leave a spare clip just in case something breaks.

These things suck. Absolutely terrible to install straight. Peels up around curves. Im sure water and debris are stuck under it, the primer solvent does damage to paint also. I didn't remove it because im sure Ill have to buff and repair paint after.

I installed this on my 2021 Ram 1500. It fit perfectly. I only removed the factory clips from the hood seal where the deflector holes lined up and yes they will break, so I recommend only removing the necessary ones. Also when installing the supplied push pins I nipped about 3/16” off the pointed end so they wouldn’t bottom out. You have to really push the outside part of the push pin to compress the weatherstrip rubber in order to screw the center piece in. It’s is possible and would be easier in warmer temperatures. The people that say they don’t work are probably not mechanically inclined. It took me about 20 minutes to install by myself, as others have said a helper would speed up the install.

Sadly, after many attempts, it could not be installed with the kit enclosed. Needles to say, it did not come with instructions and the QR code enclosed led to a general website with nothing product-specific. Most importantly, despite the fancy box that came in, the manufacturer wrapped it in semi-rigid plastic with sharp edges, so no wonder it arrived with scuffs around the contact points. And speaking of scuffs, it gave my brand new truck some scuffs with that plastic kits they sent with. I've ordered a generic car clips kit and will give it a last try along with use of some kind of hood protection and may be a second set of hands. I’ll update this review afterward.

This little unit is the cat's meow. Got it for my 2020 1500 Ram. Gave the front end a tough look. I did the install and it was simple. There was a YouTube video that you really need to watch. I followed that video exactly and the unit stuck amazingly well. Been on since early August of this year. Can't speak about wiring because I had the dealership install the wires even though it's simple. i didn't want to give them any excuses if something went wrong on the truck. The lights are the perfect color to match the parking lamp. It's one of my very favorite accessories. So much so that i just got the matching cab over light bar that goes on the roof. Uses the same light strip just mimics cab lights but without drilling holes in the roof.

absolutely love it. We installed the chrome hood protecter, window vents and pillars.. it sets off our 2020 Ram Laramie Longhorn. The chrome is a great match.

Doesn't fit Ram warlock front end

Light strip stopped working after a few months. My question is that I'd like to know if I can get another Light strip to replace the one that quit working. Wish there was a way to contact the seller so I could get another Light strip to replace it. Other than the light stop working. It looks great when the light is working.
