Der Singleton Malt Master's Selection hat mich positiv überrascht. Ich hatte einen unkomplizierten, aber nicht belanglosen Whisky erwartet – und genau das bekommt man hier auch: leicht zugänglich, aber mit eigener Handschrift. Nase (Aroma): Sehr angenehm – fruchtige Noten (grüner Apfel, Birne), etwas Vanille, ein Hauch Honig. Kein Rauch, keine Schärfe – eher süß und einladend. Geschmack: Weich und rund am Gaumen. Leichte Süße, Toffee, Karamell, ein Hauch von Nuss und vielleicht etwas Eiche im Hintergrund. Kein typischer „Sherry-Keule“-Whisky, sondern eher mild und ausgewogen. Abgang: Mittellang, sanft, leicht würzig – verabschiedet sich mit einem angenehmen Nachklang ohne Bitterkeit. Fazit: Ein wirklich solider Single Malt, der sowohl Whisky-Neulinge als auch erfahrene Genießer ansprechen kann – besonders, wenn man keine rauchigen Noten sucht. Er ist nicht überkomplex, aber charmant und gut ausbalanciert. Für den Preis absolut fair. Perfekt als Einstieg in die Welt des Single Malts – oder einfach als leichter Whisky für entspannte Abende.
