This parrot is so cute and does exactly as stated 95% of the time. It gets a bit confused when multiple people talk at the same time so what he says doesn’t make sense but I still love it and so does our dog who can’t believe this parrot is barking back at her! It drives her crazy so would recommend not allowing dogs Bear it. Especially like the fact that it mimics the tone of voice as well. Purchased for our grandson who is in the autistic spectrum hoping it will encourage him to talk more, we’ll see soon how that works out. Only thing I would change would be that it also have a push button activation so you can control what it repeats. The on/off button is small and on the very bottom. A push button would also make it more interactive, more like holding a pet parrot. Regardless, I would buy again. As far as what age child would enjoy this is the most is hard to say. It scares my 9 month old when I hold it and have it repeat his name. 5 yr old grandson really liked but got a bit rough with it, 7 yr old: “that’s cool” and left the room. I’d have to say a 4 yr old or a teenager even. Anyone who loves parrots will enjoy it.

Is a beautiful gift and my daughter is obsessed about him. Just think the volume is high and after 20 minutes becomes a little annoying. I wish it comes with at least two volume levels.

As an adult this thing is cute at first then quite annoying after a while but that’s part of what makes it a great toy. The kids love it and it actually works surprisingly well for the price point. You’ll get some good laughs

my college roommate and I just bought this little guy, and we have been so incredibly entertained by him. He is a fantastic listener, and a really good singer too. It's impossible to be upset when Charlie is on (he felt like a Charlie so that's his name). He's now part of the family, and we celebrate his birthday every week (by making him sing happy birthday)

Ordered this parrot and returned it because it did not work. Reordered replacement and replacement was also defective.

I had read the reviews pointing out the perceived cheapness of the product construction, lack of volume control, expense, etc. but I felt my four year old grandson would appreciate it, and find it fun, and in this I was not disappointed. It was a big hit, and everyone really had some fun with it right off the bat. volume seems fine. Yes, the parrot voice is sometimes indistinct and if there is too much background noise muddled, but overall it brought a lot of joy to the occasion. He received other educational toys that will be interesting and more useful in his development, but this silly parrot is the toy that ignites spontaneous joy at the party which in itself is worth the price of admission. He's had it a few weeks now and it is still working and still of interest to him, albeit less so now that he is familiar with it's trick.

Did not work! I bought this for my nephews birthday he was so excited we put in batteries and it wouldn’t even turn on so disappointing for a little boy who was so excited!
