The Sistema KLIP IT 5 L Food Storage Container has been a reliable addition to my baking storage. I've repurchased these multiple times because it works for our freezer space. I mainly use it to store baked cookies, and it does an excellent job because it's airtight and sturdy enough for regular use. The airtight seals are removable for washing, which is a big plus in preventing mold buildup. While the container can warp slightly, it doesn’t affect its functionality for me since I don’t store hot food in it anyway. I purchased mine on 40% off discount, so I feel like I got good value for the quality. However, at full price, I would prefer a slightly more rigid and premium feel. Overall, this is a practical, stackable, and easy-to-clean storage solution that works well for home bakers.

These containers are amazing quality. The plastic is thick, clear and sturdy, none of that flimsy feel you get from cheaper storage containers, and you can see exactly what's inside without opening the lid. The locking clips snap shut with a solid, satisfying click that means business and creates a genuinely leak proof, airtight seal. Once it's locked it's locked, no accidental popping open in the fridge or freezer, and no spills even when tipped upside down. I use one set for the usual, leftovers, meal prep, pantry staples, and they keep everything airtight and fresh exactly as advertised. But here's the fun part, I also grabbed a separate one just for cigars and it works beautifully for that too. The seal is tight enough to help maintain humidity, almost like a makeshift humidor. Worth noting I keep that one completely separate from anything food related, just dedicated to cigars only, but it's still nice knowing one product handles both jobs so well. Dishwasher, freezer and microwave safe on top of all that, so it genuinely covers every use case you'd want for food storage. Sturdy, reliable and more versatile than I expected going in.

My pantry and large deep kitchen drawers are filled with Sistema containers in every shape and size, and after trying every other brand on the market, I have become very loyal to Sistema despite their higher cost. I have a storage room in my house downstairs that is the size of a bedroom. On the floor are brown moving boxes stacked on top of each other. They are filled with craft supplies, organza bags, ribbon, soaps, photo backing boards, etc. Every time I am looking for something, I need to open the boxes. Nope, it's not in there! I recently added industrial shelving on two walls, and these extra large containers by Sistema, their largest (I purchased eight thus far) were the answer to better organization, and they can be labeled. They are sturdy, see-through and air tight, which is great for preserving the fragrance and life of soaps and potpourri. IMPORTANT: For reviewers who mentioned that the clips break, due to my "Sistema addiction", I have had plenty of experience with the side clips. My guess is that I have six to seven dozen containers from this brand, ranging in size from tiny two-inch salad dressing rounds to sandwich containers to the Bake-Its (small, medium and large), to large square, large rectangle, and these extra large 236-ounce. The larger containers have 4.5-inch (11.5 cm) clips on all four sides. Once I was a little rough with one of the smaller containers and a side clip flipped off, but it was easy to re-attach. With all of the larger containers, when I open and close them, I use two hands to press them down or lift them up. It takes only an extra second or two and is worth the time to prevent them from breaking off. I highly recommend these containers to anyone looking for the features mentioned.

Like others here, I'm using two of these as Tupperdors. OK, so not quite as elegant or stately as my wooden one, but then this is a darned sight cheaper AND performs above and beyond the price point. Seasoning? Don't bother unless you're using cedar lining/trays. This and three Boveda packs keeps my cigars they way they are supposed to be kept. That it's clear means I can read my hygrometer without opening the box, and over a three week period the relative humidity only had a +/- 1% fluctuation owing largely to temperature changes. No air leaks AT ALL. I contrast this with some of the cheaper wooden humidors out there....they are cheap because they use particle board as the core, something that isn't really known for tolerating humidity very well. One or more imperfect seams in the lining will cause the core to swell over time and you have a real job ahead of you wondering why your $30 humidor keeps drying out. None of that with this container. As I said, I have two of these - one is reserved for my "keeper" cigars (Padron 50 year heading that list) where I want to be confident that over the space of a few months the sticks will still be OK with little to no monitoring. The second is my daily use Tupperdor, and it performs exactly perfect. Simply put, I have no reservations keeping some pretty expensive cigars in them. A very good product for the cigar enthusiast. I think they are fantastic.

Doesn't seem extremely sturdy or tough, but for the price, it gets 5 stars. Cover clips hang on tight, but we'll see how long they last. It does what is expected of it and for a great price. Would recommend!

Ik kan bevestigen dat het deksel niet goed afsluit. Als je er water in doet loopt het gemakkelijk tussen het deksel door, zelfs als je met je hand het deksel aanduwt. Sluit dus niet strak zoals in de omschrijving staat en is zeker niet luchtdicht, zoals je zou verwachten van een dergelijke doos voor voedsel. De blauwe seal is ook geen nette rubber of silicone rand, maar een kunststof buisje dat in het deksel is gepropt. De klipjes stellen ook niet veel voor. Ze zitten goed vast aan de doos, maar klikken nauwelijks vast aan het deksel. Ze komen dus ook snel weer los van het deksel. IKEA doet dat stukken beter voor een leukere prijs.

Perfect for storing cigars. No need for washing before use. Dishwasher safe, but use low temperature program. Otherwise the sides will warp a little and the lid can be problematic to put on.

Nice large size. I do a lot of baking and need to transport baked goods to parties and gatherings so it had to be food safe. Very clear and easy to view what’s inside. Closing grips hold well and airtight. Good product for a reasonable price. Made in New Zealand too.
