Better sound than my hearing aids
We started using TV ears about 12 years ago when my wife's hearing got bad enough that I couldn't watch TV with her because she needed the volume so high. The first product we tried was great, but it didn't last but a year or so then I had to replace it. After the third set in 4 years I stated looking for another similar product. The Simolio was the answer. A few years ago I realized I was having difficulty hearing and understanding the TV, so I bought the dual set, My only complaint is the the battery on mine only lasted 4 years and I bought another battery before I discovered that there was a spare in the base unit. Anyway, I have recommended these to others with the same problem.

A Must Have After trying 4 different headsets, this is The One
Wish I could give this more stars. Bought one for my sister and she Loves it. Tried other headsets for us and nothing was as easy to operate or as good as these. You can leave the room and still hear. My electronically challenged husband can run them. They make listening to the TV soooo much easier especially the British shows.

My husband is very hard of hearing and regardless of price, this is the one he likes the best.
My husband first bought the single one in a stand but he had to recharge it after four hours. He then had to use one of his three other, far more expensive ear phones (that don’t work as well) while waiting for the Simolio to recharge. I purchased the dual stand and pair as a present for him. Now one can be charging while the other is in use. Over the years he has tried so many earbuds/earphones in all the price ranges. These Simolio are his favorite because: *they have clarity, *light weight when used with the ear hangers. * additional ear hangers can be purchased if lost or broken *independent volume adjustment. (My husband has unequal hearing loss so he can adjust the volume for each ear. ) * easy to insert in the charger * beep indicates Time to recharge * they do a better job at less cost than the far more expensive head phones. * The Simolio volume control does not affect the room’s TV volume control so we can both watch the same program at sound level we each prefer. CONS: *Can’t wear with hearing aids. * can’t hear others when they speak to him *Would like Interchangeable ear bud for a better fit * would like Base to treble control

Great for hard to understand dialog
I helped a friend setup a new set of TV Ears to his TV, and was able to experience them while testing the connection. I was impressed. We are both in our mid-70s and both have tinnitus. I decided to order a set for myself and started shopping on Amazon for the best solution for my needs. That’s when I discovered the SIMOLIO Digital 2.4GHz Dual Wireless TV Headphones. I researched the differences between the TV Ears and SIMOLIO products. The main selling point for the SOMOLIO brand over the TV Ears was the wireless transmission protocol: TV Ears use infrared technology: Infrared signals require that you be in the line of sight with the base unit. I f something is in the way or you walk into another room you loose the signal and therefore loose the sound. SIMOLIO Digital 2.4GHz Dual Wireless TV Headphones use radio frequency: Radio frequency can penetrate obstacles and walls, meaning that you don’t need to be in the line of sight. You can walk to other rooms or even outside (within range) and still hear the TV sound. Other features of the SIMOLIO TV Headphones that I prefer are the color and design, and the extra battery charging feature. (TV Ears are just plain ugly!) Overall I am very happy with my purchase and now I can understand difficult dialogs, whispers and vocals with music or action in the background. I can walk into the kitchen or bathroom and still hear the TV (a big bonus!) The only drawback is the weight of the headset at 2 oz. While 2 oz doesn’t sound like a lot, it is noticeable when hanging from your ears. The TV Ears headsets also weigh 2 oz so it wasn’t a factor in my buying decision. I do get used to it and can actually wear them for extended times.

Excellent customer service!
My mother loves these headphones. Over the past several years she has had two sets for herself and bought sets for two friends. A couple of times we’ve had issues but the company Simolio has been awesome. Responsive and quick to make things right. Five stars for the product and customer service!

Headphones
The first that you sent one of the speakers would not work and I just received a replacement and have them charging right now and the second one is doing the same thing so can you give me my money back? I have emailed them and they response is with the two together that does work. That’s not solving the problem. I would like my money back so if you wanna buy this thing, do not buy it because they do not stand behind their product.

QUALITY- QUALITY-QUALITY
It is a little bit more expensive but worth it for sound control and sound quality.

The verdict is still out...
I purchased the Simolio Dual system on Jan 22, 2021, and I already had to return the first pair. There was a ground short issue for the left channel of one headset which emitted a continuous annoying sound. While my hearing is beginning to worsen over the last few short years, my mother-in-law wears hearing aids. I purchased the set primarily for her, but decided on the dual as it can help me as well in the years to come. She didn't detect the ground short as her hearing is much worse; however, me and my wife both could hear the bad tone. This makes me wonder how many units are actually out there that have this problem, and users don't notice it. Or, it could have just been a fluke - and we got a bad set. The second pair is working beautifully. While I admire these headsets, I'm a bit puzzled by the over-selling and the price for what you get. I realize that not all entertainment systems are configured the same, but I needed to shell out an additional $35 for an SPDIF Toslink splitter and cable. Fortunately, it was easy to install once I located the ports I needed to use. Lets keep it simple people - especially for the more wise, these are headsets with a built-in volume and balance control (period). I'm not convinced that any special technology is being used to make this work... its just good-old fashioned sound coming through a headset that you control. The base unit is simply a broadcast unit that takes audio in from a source and throws it out there for the headsets to pickup. I didn't detect any sound differences in what I'm able to hear with/without the headsets. What makes these headsets useful, is the fact that everyone else in the room doesn't need to be blasted by the sound. My mother-in-law is thrilled to have these, and she feels totally in control of the volume now. My wife is happy, my son is happy, I'm happy... the mother-in-law (again) is happy... and that's all that matters! The headsets work! Why am I giving it 3 stars instead of 4 or 5? Like I said, I'm not convinced there is any special magic going on internally for the high price tag ($164 at the time of this review). Secondly, after having received a defective unit from my original purchase - in my opinion it is clear that these units will not last long, and therefore I opted to take out the 2 year extended warranty from ASURION for an additional $16. Lets hope I never have to file a claim, but if I do - I want my purchase protected. Sorry to offend the company or reseller, but I worked hard my entire life for the little money I have.... Products in my day were built to last beyond their warranty period, unlike many products today. Given that there are not too many devices like this on the market, I feel that I have no choice but to pay the outrageous price for these 'headsets.' I only wish they were not so expensive so that other seniors can enjoy them.

Television Enjoyment at last, with SIMOLIO Dual Headphones for TV
I was a tad apprehensive buying this dual headset, for myself and for my wife. After using them for a week, we are both very impressed with the sound, the ease of use and of all the accessories that are included. This is a very well thought out set. We can now hear speech with pure crystal clear clarity, but for me, best of all, is the subleties like birds singing in in the background or a stream gurgling that do enhance TV watching, are now there. These sounds normally would certainly go unheard by me. The docking station and headphones are neat and very easy to set up, there is a volume control to hand on the headset along with balance for your left or right ear and even a little Mic button on the back to enable normal conversation if required. Treble and Bass are available on the docking station, plus stereo or mono. A spare charged battery is held in the docking station for the headphones. Placing the headphones in the cradle after use, charges both pair simultaneously. For us the included items provided were all we required. Plug in the power, attach the digital cable or RCA jack directly to the source, switch on and enjoy. The only criticism I would mention is that after a couple of hours of TV listening my ears do feel just a little uncomfortable but I can happily live with this because of the sound quality.... Brilliant. I will try the different ear caps that are provided and adjustments to the bendable arms to achieve a little more comfort. (It could just be my ears getting used to them.) In all these headphone are highly recommended to anyone who struggles with hearing TV sound, they won't do your street cred any good, but who cares? Importantly both of us are now very happy with our purchase, and we are enjoying our television again. :)
