This is the best price I've found on LongVida, and since it's a patented formulation you know you are getting a consistent and trustworthy product. I've tried hundreds of supplements over the years and LongVida easily makes my top-5 favorites that I hope to take for the rest of my life because of its efficacy at fighting inflammation (it noticeably improves my chronic back pain and my wife's chronic skin rashes). As a man in my early 70s, I struggle to get good quality sleep, and with a family history of Altzheimers, I want to do what I can to help keep my mind functioning well. Since good sleep and a well functioning mind seem to be dependent on each other, I'm concerned about what supplements I should be taking to help keep my mind healthy. This is a Longvida curcumin product that is reported to cross the blood brain barrier more efficiently. Since degeneration of the brain is normally a slow process, I can't really tell if this is helping from day to day. I take this product in addition to another curcumin product containing Theracurmin. My choice in this product was based part on research and understanding of the Longvida formulation, NOW Supplement's good reputation, and the reviews here at Amazon. This has an excellent subtle effect on attention and mood due to the anti-inflammatory properties and ability to cross the blood-brain barrier. The Longvida form is the preferred form of curcumin if you're looking for help with anything brain-related. Folks who are biohacking or have restricted diets watch out for the rice flour used as a filler. It's not as problematic as maltodextrin, but it is a (gluten free) grain flour and may break you out of a fast or cause its own inflammation problems if you are very sensitive to grains. Price per mg, this is very hard to beat, even vs. encapsulating yourself once you take into account the price of the empty capsules.

This is as effective for me as anti inflammatory meds.

I guess I was expecting more from the premium price and glowing reviews of longvida. It's an effective curcumin supplement, but I personally get slightly more noticeable results from a much cheaper combination standardized turmeric extract paired with bioperine for absorption. Difference being, with that configuration I'm taking two larger turmeric capsules along with a small bioperine tablet, so three pills instead of one. If you don't like taking a lot of pills or can't handle larger ones, then I guess this might be worth it for you. But personally when I finish the bottle I'll be switching back. Everyone's bodies are different so your mileage may vary. It still may be worth a try for you if you're a curcumin user and I don't regret giving it a shot.
