Great value

After my trusty iPod Classic died, I ordered an iPod 6th generation, and needed a case for it. This was Amazon's "Deal of the Day", and I paid £4.79. It certainly does seem to be real leather, and for that price, it's an absolute steal. My previous case was a fairly expensive Griffin leather one, and this was the most similar I could find for the 6th gen iPod. There's no fancy packaging, but you do get the leather case, a film screen protector (Which doesn't fit the iPod 6th generation, but I've put on until the glass one I've ordered arrives), and a microfibre cloth. Not a bad bundle, even at full price. It does fit the 6th gen iPod, although there are signs that it's really intended for the 5th gen one as it's got a cut out in the rear for where the 5th gen's carry hook attachment would be. The top and bottom of the plastic cradle which your iPod sits in are fully exposed, so you can access the power button on the top and the Lightning port and headphone socket on the bottom. I'm using Amazon Basics Lightning cables at home, and as you can see, they're a good fit. Leather looks well stitched, and I've not found any odour other than what you'd expect from real leather, unlike some of the more unlucky reviewers who clearly had gallons of fish scented glue used on theirs. It's a decent thickness, and should provide a decent cushioning if your iPod gets dropped from lowish heights. I'm not recommending chucking it off a building, but it should offer protection from a simple fall to the pavement from your hand. The magnetic clasp seems to be doing its job for now. It does hold the case shut, but it's not the firmest closure in the world. In a very unfortunate world, something could still slip between the front cover and the iPod and scratch it. Overall, I like it. I don't love it in the same way I did my Griffin case for the old iPod classic, but this is excellent value for money, and offers good protection. For the price, it would be hard to beat.

Real leather .. great value

First case cracked and paint peeled off within two days. Replacement case sent same thing. They are definitely not leather and are painted in something that just cracks. Also inner bumper case makes side buttons a hard to use. Seller was genuine though and fast with returns. Now waiting to get refund

The case itself is quite lovely - it smells of leather and has a nice lining. However, it’s let down by the rubber mould that holds the phone in place which is slightly too small so the phone doesn’t sit snug in it unlike with other cases I’ve had of similar design. This results in a bulge/gap and also means it’s harder to operate the volume buttons on the side of the phone as the case isn’t aligned with them properly. It’s not the end of the world. It’s for an old phone I still use for listening to the radio on or browsing etc. Maybe if it was my main phone I’d be more annoyed but it seems like too much hassle to return it and there’s no guarantee a replacement will be any better. It’s quite hard to find cases for those phones now too so I was happy to find this one, even though it doesn’t quite fit!! Maybe if I couldn’t access the volume buttons at all or the phone was half hanging out of the case, I would have no choice but to return it, but it serves its purpose for what I need it for, even though it’s a little annoying and I keep finishing myself trying to pull the rubber casing up over the bit that doesn’t fit!

A very good robust phone cover. Real leather and very efficient. Fits snug around the phone and a good thickness too. I'm very confident that if I dropped my phone (iphone) the glass wouldn't crack or shatter, and for the price, it's worth every penny!

Ce produit est pas mal : coque en silicone qui s'adapte parfaitement à l'Iphone et aux boutons et sorties (câble chargeur, haut-parleurs, couleur rouge vif comme sur les photo. Mais un défaut important est à noter : les 3 petits orifices en façade (en haut) ne sont pas en face du haut-parleur de l'Iphone ! Il y a bien 4mm de décalage. Le produit est livré avec une protection d'écran très fine que je n'ai pas testée.

Erst seit Weihnachten in Gebrauch, und an dem Bug bereits total unschön, aufgeraut und rissig. Sehr schade und absolut nicht weiterzuempfehlen! Wenn ich keinen Stern geben könnte, würde ich das tun.
