Discontinued and replaced by an identical Klipsch model that costs more
Lets start by saying that what one person thinks sounds good compared to another is very subjective. No these speakers are not perfect, and they won't give you that super accurate clinical sound you'd get from a set of high end studio monitors. But that being said to the average person do they sound good? I'd say yes, even with a so-so input source and no EQ. For the money, especially on sale you really can't beat them. No they are not bass monsters and you'll want to add a sub to experience that low end. But for near field casual listening at a desk with a decent dac & amp for $90 they are a bargain. I had my eye on these for the better part of a year and while the price fluctuated alot it never got to a point that I wanted to take a gamble on them. Are they worth $200-250? Probably not. $100-150$? Absolutely. Under $100? You'd be stupid not to at least try them. Overall the speakers have decent low end and treble. Like most audio products of the last 10-15yrs the mids are recessed but can be helped with a little EQ. Alot of this will depend on the source, I've noticed a truly great recording sounds just that, great. But tracks that are poorly recorded or average tend to make you notice how bad the recording is. It's not super apparent to a casual listener and they'd be fine with them. But if you have other highend speakers or headphones it'll be pretty clear. Overall I'd say for the money these were a bargain and ones I'll be holding onto for awhile as they fit a specific need while still sound good thanks to the front port and overall small size. Unfortunately these will probably not be available much longer. Jamo no longer shows them on their site and Klipsch (Jamos parent company) now lists an identical speaker, although different color, on their web page that costs quite a bit more but retains the exact same specifications. As for build quality I'd say it's passible. Let me put it this way, you're paying for the sound these produce, not the build quality. These are what you'd call a 5ft speaker, they look incredible from a distance, but once you get up close and inspect them you'll see it's mostly a vinyl wrap and fake wood look so don't expect these to be some piece of hand-made craftsmanship.

Yes, they are MAGIC!
The other day I realized that as a music lover and former wannabe audiophile I could no longer accept thinking that my Echo was anywhere close to acceptable as my only non-headphone source of music in my home. So, I went looking for audiophile reviews on YouTube for bookshelf speakers. Steve Gutenberg and Zeos Pantera are the primary speaker reviewers you will find. I was all set to get the Elac Debut 2.0 b 6.2 when I came across their reviews for these Jamo’s. Both had good things to say. In fact, Zeos went ape s*** crazy about how good they were for their size and price. I liked how they looked, especially in white, and the price was now down to an unbelievable $158, so I bought a pair. To drive them, I got the Fosi Audio BT30A, which is a tiny, well-built Bluetooth amp that is perfect for my needs. Then I started testing them with my usual suspects: Turn of a Friendly Card, The Logical Song, Moving in Stereo, Ride Like the Wind, Losing It (Rush), then some of my favorite rock instrumentals from Rik Emmett and of course La Villa Strangiato from Rush. Then Un Amor by the Gipsy Kings, some arias by Pavarotti, Maria Callas, and Kathleen Battle. I ended finally with some pop: Smooth Criminal and Human Nature from the one and only king, and Hello and Someone Like You from Adele. No matter what I threw at them, these speakers blew my mind. They were precise and clean and the soundstage was unreal. I was not expecting these small, inexpensive speakers to disappear, but they did. They gave me a renewed appreciation for the work that producers and sound engineers do. For example, on Someone Like You, from an older album, it sounded like the left hand notes were panned to the left and the right hand notes to the right. I didn’t like it and it didn’t sound natural. Then I listened to Hello and the whole piano was left of center at the beginning when it’s the only instrument. That’s right where it is on most classical stages. Grand pianos open to the right and the pianist needs to see the conductor, so the piano is left of center. One last thing: I think these produce plenty of bass. Admittedly I’m not a huge fan of thundering subwoofers. I suppose if I wanted home theater sound or listened to a lot of classical these would come up a bit short, like they would probably not be able to accurately represent a concert bass but would do fine with tympani. Anyway, I don’t write many reviews and this is for sure the longest. That’s just how impressed I am with these Jamo S 803 speakers.

These sound great but the build quality leaves a bit to be desired.
I ordered these speakers on impulse as they seemed to be fairly well regarded for the $300 price tag. I got them for $120 which seemed like a steal. These are noticeably boosted in the bass region and treble as described which I was wanting for the music I listen to. The bass is punchy and goes quite low for the size of the driver, the front bass port helps in this regard. The treble is sharp at times when listening to some certain tracks with female vocals pronouncing the "s" sound. It's on the borderline of sibilant with some songs. This same treble emphasis makes things like hi-hats sound very engaging though. The one negative is that the vinyl wrapping on my right side speaker has some slight blemishes and bumps to it which I can forgive for the price but it does bother me just a bit. The left side speaker is pretty well put together with no obviously noticeable build issues. In conclusion, for under $200 these are great sounding speakers that deliver a great musical experience catered to more modern music. They don't compare to my Infinity Reference R162s in pure sound quality but these can be used on a desk whereas those are much better enjoyed a bit further away.

Buy These Speakers! You Won't Regret It. Rich, Full Sound In A Small Great Looking Package.
I love these speakers. It killed me to replace my larger Sony speakers that had such good sound and bass but, we got a new wall unit and the speakers looked ridiculous next to it. So, I searched & searched and read every review on the small speakers that would fit in our wall unit. I finally decided to grab these for a number of reasons. First, the sound, and let me tell you that the sound is wonderful and the bass is just as nice as my larger speakers as well as the fact that I'm hearing a broader spectrum of sound that I did not hear before! Second, the looks, and let me tell you that these speakers look even better in person. 3rd & finally, the price. The value for the price is GREAT! I have no problem telling you that if you're on the fence and can't decide between bookshelf size speakers go ahead and click BUY! You won't regret it. I don't.

Looks Good Sounds Great!
So they're not an audiophiles dream speaker. Various reviews gave me an unsure feeling about picking this pair of speakers for my set up. The speakers do not have a perfectly flat response curve. However to the less discerning ear. These sound beautiful! They have a moderate V shape to their response curve which would match the most commonly used EQ shape for most people. If you prefer a Flat response the V is light enough that it is easily EQ'd back out. On the low end response seems to fall off a little between 60-80 Hz, below 60 Hz the sound falls off dramatically. I am pushing these with a cheap d802c d class amp, and they maintain their clear and beautiful sound to much higher volumes than I'll ever actually listen to them, loud enough that my kids yell at me from the other rooms to turn them down. Build quality seems ok. It could be better and If I had paid the Full MSRP I would probably want better. The wood around the tweeter is obviously not real even from 5 feet away, and the white surround around the woofer protrudes ever so slightly above the surface of the speaker causing a shadow that makes it look like it might not be fully set in all the way around. I'm using these as speakers for a desktop PC so I'll be keeping the grills on them due to these issues.

Bang for the BUCK!
I am impressed! Sure these are not audiophile speakers by any means, BUT these speakers are really quite nice. At 113 dollars they are a real bargain. I use them with my Marantz 4120 Receiver and they sound great. I had to flatten out the Treble for my taste in musical presentation and they work well for what they are, a really decent pair of budget speakers. FIY, play them for a few days and if you don't like them, send them back. I'm betting you will not. Recommended improvement to MFG, use better vinyl because these speakers deserve it and other reviewers echo this sentiment. Kudos to JAMO! Well done! One more thing, I am using Mogami 3082 speaker wire to power the speakers.

Quality all around
These really make a statement in white, with or without the grills on, which are magnetic by the way. These are the first Jamos I have ever owned and I am quite pleased with my purchase. I rarely purchase commercially made speakers as I am usually more of a DIY fan when it comes to speakers, not just as a hobby but as a way to get more bang from each buck spent. The reviews, the sale price, and the looks were enough to convince me to click that 'Add to Cart' button and I'm glad I did. Once some break-in time had passed I did some A/B comparisons to some other speakers I had around the house. Some could compete in the low-end output but almost nothing could touch these in overall clarity. They are very well balanced across their frequency range and don't color or muck up the sound in any real significant way. Paired with a amp/DAC (In my case the Sabaj A4) they are the perfect alternative to a sound bar. Great vocal clarity for shows and movies and excellent for music, all while looking great while doing it.

for the price, top quality speakers
these speakers are ok in quality and sound but the price point makes them go up the charts by a few levels. I have had much and I mean much more expensive speakers than these that were not as good as this set. I only bought these for the low price because i was going to use them in the garage where I do my paintings and listen to music while do. Now I think that they don't deserve to be in the garage and they should move inside. The sound is good but not great (of course at this price point it is silly to even complaint) but decent. The highs are weak and lows are clean and fair for the size and box and woofers. Tweeters need a serious upgrade but again is beyond silly to complaint about a set of speakers this good under $100!!!! so I stop here and tell you to buy them even though the price has gone up.

Great sound and excellent value
Bought these to pair with amp and turntable. For the price these sound amazing. Very balanced and capable of taking good power.

These speakers have no business sounding so good for the price.
I've owned speakers costing 10 times what these do and while they were more (enter audiophile speak here), these little wonders are just so incredibly musical. My home office is filled with wonderful music. Strongly recommended.

Impresionantes bocinas y excelente calidad-precio

Should be 4.8 but I will explain why not 5 below
First, the good parts: 1. Sounds great IF you have sub-woofer. 2. LOOKS GREAT.. I'm getting a white desk to match. 3. They work GREAT on a desk close to the wall. 4. 3D sound, and this is not a joke. The music is all over. Like in a concert. 5. They sound great even at rather low volumes, but they shine at maybe 75% plus. 6. Mid range is amazing. 7. Highs are from heaven. Honestly.. highs are that good. Not harsh, like the angels. Smooooth. 8. I didn't notice that they have to be burned in. But.. I'm old. got old ears. Maybe they got better, maybe I got more used to new speakers. 9. If you like curves, they have a Harman curve.. a smile. I love speakers that smile. Now, for the bad parts: 1. They used to be $200 I payed $450. We are not amused. However, even at this price.. I am happy with my purchase. They look and sound so good. 2. If you like bass, you need a sub-woofer. Don't come to me saying "There's no bass", ok?. I had a sub lying around. So, if you like bass and you don't have a sub, that's another bit of cash. 3. They aren't very sensitive, so ..the volume is only ok. IF you like loud.. maybe these aren't for you but usage will vary, you have to try them out in your room. 4. Not at all a fan of their altos connections on top. At all. Im considering using some white paint to make them disappear. This is a very strange feature. Most people will not use it and normal wiring would be just as good. They could have placed connectors in the back like NORMAL people would. I have a white paint pen lying around. The office is messy, so I tend to find a lot of useful things lying around. Last week, I found my ex wife. Lying around. She said she liked the speakers so much. Now, what are you waiting for? My permission? Buy them, and if after a few weeks, you don't like them, return them. Drop the mike.
