Absolutely great results with this water-soluble crayons. I’m wowed!
Once applied like a crayon, they felt much softer and not as dry, and it didn’t scratch the paper as others that I’ve tried before, plus they melt-dissolved very smoothly with water, and the pigment is much richer than I expected. The colors blend effortlessly and produce gorgeous results. I was genuinely wowed the first time I used them. This is just my personal opinion, but I truly loved them and can’t wait to use them more.

Very easy to use
Watched a tutorial where the artist used watercolor sticks primarily to make marks, then a different artist tried them out just using a wet brush right on them, both ways worked for different effects. The second artist also made marks then tried to blend, not so great. Then she cut a bit off and placed in a half pan, used like tube paint. Pretty good. I have a couple Daniel Smith sticks based on the first tutorial, I like adding marks and lines to some pieces. Organizing my workroom getting ready for holiday shows, and I found these Sargent “crayons” which I had forgotten I had, so I decided to give them a try. Used the wet brush right on them, on the side of the point, worked brilliantly. And once I was done, just set them down and waited a bit for them to dry, and then back in the box. I was able to blend colors just by holding the two crayons at once. The Daniel Smith are pretty pricey compared to these, so I’d call this a win. I may not color with them which is what I thought was how to use them, but I can see these being very handy for instance to travel with, pretty much no mess, only had to clean my brushes as usual. Highly recommend.

Not bad, but not Great
The colors are vibrant and they do what they are intended to do. They are good for the price, but if you can afford it I would get a higher quality set. They have a chalky feel going on the paper and the lines from drawing do no disapear when activated even when scrubing. This would be a good set for a beginner or someone who isnt sure if they will like this particular medium. I'll probably use these to sketch. Not bad, but not great either.

Don’t really do anything watercolors should do
Not impressed. I am a watercolor artist, so my view could be skewed because of that. But they were not fun at all to use. They don’t loosen or blend or anything, really. When I paint over it with water, it never stops looking like a crayon colored there. I expected the color to loosen and spread and the edges to become soft and blended.
