Bones: The Complete Series

I wish all my box sets used this style of packaging. The set is divided into two main cases, which open like books with heavy duty multi dvd holders nesting with the one it is next to. No scratching of disks like the envelope ones. Much heavier grade plastic than anything I have been able to find aftermarket for my box sets. I figure if you bought this you know the show. Unlike most of my Sci fi series they were allowed to wind down the series to a reasonable conclusion, that is not a conclusion and bookends with the pilot. Season 4 and 5 are the weakest, but the last two have some obvious filler episodes....but good overall. The science was a bit weak at times, like the "angelatron" was really out there for no reason. I have CGI graphics training and some theater tech experience and I shudder to think of how much money was wasted on that effect that was completely unnecessary. It is so much cheaper, easier, and more reliable to have the simple flat artist renderings or a 3d sculpted model, either 3d printed or physically made on a model or a real scull like I have seen in archeological research would have been better, and in a sense that is what was being implied what was happening by the later seasons, because its as much of an art as as science. One of my favorite things was the "witty banter" which was most of why I watched it. It reminded me of the old romantic comedies with quick snippy smart, yet mostly good natured at heart dialogue. That and actually having smart women characters, who happen to be scientists....of different backgrounds, races/ethnicity, religions, etc....just not as many diversity as hoped and see in world...but amazingly better than most entertainment. Overall my favorite fictional non- Sci Fi tv show ever (science shows and PBS doesn't count). As a female trained in an industry where more than 98% are still men, it was fun to watch.

This set is really nicely packaged, which I was not expecting at the low price. I am happy with the quality! It's nice enough that I'd like to give this as a gift, but the first one I purchased is for myself. Having two plastic binders of discs with good cover art is really appreciated, and the sturdiness is excellent for display and storage. Highly recommended!

This is a great deal for the complete series. I'm still watching the discs so if I come a crossed any problems with play ability I will update but so far the quality is good and the episodes are just as I remember. When it comes to the casing that the DVD's were sent in I would not give it 5 stars but since I was just interested in the DVD's I gave it 5 stars because I got what I was personally paying for. If you are hoping to get more out of this then just the ability to watch the series, such as a nice display case I wouldn't recommend this item for that purpose. While the case is one of the better ones I've had the plastic inside that holds all the discs together is rather floppy and all the different plastics holding the DVD's keep getting caught on each other and make it a bit difficult to get the DVD's out. Also each disc holds 4 episodes so you will have to get up a decent amount to put in the new DVD's. Overall though if you are just looking for a way to be able to watch the complete series of Bones then I would say this is the best option for you and also has the added bonus of being steal of getting 12 seasons of a show for the price they are offering. *Update* For some reason Disc 5 of season 3 is actually the exact same as Disc 1 of Season 4 but I seem to have all the episode so I'm not sure why this happened.

I almost didn't buy this based on the reviews of the really bad packaging. I love bones and wanted to add the series to my collection so I figured worst case I would just put it in a binder so the packaging wasn't going to be a deal breaker anyway. I'm very happy with the set the packaging is fine, a little different. they stack 3 discs then over lap offset. this makes you watch everything in that tray before you can put them back in order. So once you get use to it it works well. another complaint was that season 3 disc 5 was the same as disc 1 season 4, This is true in my case as well however if you check IMDB you are not missing any episodes at all. There is no disc 5 in season 3 so 5 is the first disc in season 4 and disc 1 season 4 is also disc 1. So far there are no missing episodes I will update more If I have more but so far all is good. I only wrote this the clear a few things up for anyone one the fence. This is a great series and well worth the money. The duplicate disc some of the reviewers talk about is just that no episodes missing and the packaging is a lot better than reviewed I have had way worse. I would recommend to a friend or family..

would be 5 Star but Season 4 episode 2 was missing and replaced with some random show called the killers soo....all in all not to bad

loved this show, worth buying the whole series.

Outstanding d v d series

Be careful when unpacking, as the plastic holders can easily slide out because it the box is not entirely closed. Other than that nice package. English subs but that is no problem for me.

Me encantó, la serie está muy entretenida, no he tenido problemas con los discos, vienen apilados de una manera muy extraña, hay que tener mucho cuidado de no romperlos, pero lo entiendo, es por la cantidad de discos. Yo prefiero el formato físico además que en streaming ya la quitaron. Muy buena compra.

Perfekt, bis auf die Tatsache, das die fünfte Staffel nicht in deutscher Sprache zur Verfügung steht. Sie ist in Englisch und Italienisch abrufbar. Für Menschen die nur der deutschen Sprache mächtig sind, nicht geeignet!

Pedido completo con todos los dvd de la serie. Tuve un problema para recibir el paquete pero me dieron una solución muy rápida y acabó llegando sin problema. Por el descuento que hacen en Amazon merece la pena comprar la serie entera aunque eso sí, la serie está en su mayoría en inglés con subtítulos en español.
