Good Service
Product is solidly built with deep quality sound. All mechanisms operate smoothly and flawlessly. The only demerit to the unit is that the fast.forward and reverse switch does not lock when engaged ( you have to hold on to the switch ).

Old school still works
I use this recorder for work in medical transcription, since it fits the mini tapes the psychiatrist I work for uses. It works pretty well, in my opinion. I haven't had any real issues with it. I am surprised such outdated equipment is still so expensive in general, but I do realize this is made in Austria, and that has something to do with it probably. For quality, I'd say it does its job well so far.

I already knew about this item. It is 'old fashioned' and has no electronic parts to cause it to fail, or frustrate one. Highly recommended if you want a challenge free recording device !

Good product, good price
Ordered a new, old fashioned pocket recorder to replace a ten year old model. Found it in less than 3 clicks, for a price that was reasonable.

records as it should
When purchasing I thought it was a micro cassette player. I didn't know there was such a thing as a mini. Of course my transcriber is not equipped to use a "mini" tape. It records like it is suppose to but I will have to use the recorder to as a transcriber also. Not happy about that.

Philips Pocket Memo Model LFH-388
I replaced my original Philips Pocket Memo Model LFH-388 with another exact same model. The first one served me extremely well for over 7 years but finally, after excessive use, it died. I am looking forward to, at least, another 7+ years with this one.

and the materials and workmanship seem to be very good.
I have used the 488 (Professional) model for years and have no complaints. I have gone through two 488 models in 15 years, and I thought I would try this model. So far, there is no obvious difference and the product is working well. It is made in Hungary, and the materials and workmanship seem to be very good.

il registratore vocale non funziona
il Philips Pocketmemo 388 ricevuto non funziona con le micro cassette di mia proprietà che sono normalissime SONY praticamente i perni che trasciano il nastro girano a vuoto o trascinano a scatti - ho acquistato questo registratore per leggere le cassette che ho registrato oltre 10 anni orsono ma purtroppo non funziona

Il s'agit bien d'un dictaphone à "mini cassettes" et non à "micro cassettes". présentation de bonne facture. produit solide, pratique d'emploi, et d'assez bonne qualité d'ecoute et d'enregistrement. A noter que le caractère "rechargeable" necessite l'achat d'accumulateurs et surtout d'un chargeur non fournis.....Néanmoins il fonctionne très bien sur piles classiques.
