Works good behind tight sinks
Had limited space with new faucet couldn’t use the bigger plastic ones and these fit great instead

Beefy, Stainless Steel, Wrong Size
This is a revision. I ordered 1/4" NPT and received 1/4" NPT. My fault for thinking they were a size bigger. Now I don't know what fitting I need as I was told the fitting was 1/4" NPT coupling. These appear to be well made, and are beefy like they are pictured. They also appear to be stainless steel (non-magnetic). Returned for a refund -- my fault.

Works great as a NPT jam nut
Very nice quality. But be aware this is a NPT thread and will not thread down a NPS fitting, it will stop on the taper just like a normal NPT fitting will do.

good substitute for 1-1/2 inch jam nut
Had to replace a broken "jam nut" securing a popup seal under the kitchen sink and couldn't find the exact replacement part anywhere. Took a chance and dropped $12 on this stainless steel locknut. It's slightly oversized such that it rocks a bit when threaded on the pipe, but with a few wraps of teflon tape it fit securely and withstood some hard tightening before I finally realized I also needed to redo the drain seal inside the sink to stop the leak. Happy with my purchase.

Does not fit over a 1/2" NPT thread, slightly too small
1/2 NPT is a slightly tapered thread. The pitch diameter or effective thread diameter is a hair above 3/4". (Yes for those that don't know, a 1/2 npt hex nut fits 3/4 inch threads on a pipe not 1/2" pipe threads.) This clearly does not fit onto a 1/2" male NPT threads except for the very smallest part of the slightly tapered thread. It will not screw on any further. I posted two pics, showing two different correctly threaded 1/2" NPT hex nuts screwed all the way onto the back of the gauge (left side of the pics) and then this product barely screwed onto the end of the gauge's threads (right side of the pics). It will not screw on any further. The question is then: How is it possible that this was manufactured correctly? The answer is that it isn't.
