Back running again.
Got me up and running in no time. The wire colors on the switch were different than on my fan which I knew going in. I asked AI to match them for me which it did albeit backwards from what it used to be. So 1st pull is slowest speed and 3rd pull is top speed. 2nd pull stayed middle speed. My wife said she preferred it that way so that’s how I left it. I was really happy that the wire ends were already pre stripped saving time for me. I use heat shrink wire connectors and with those it took me maybe 10 minutes to get it connected, tested and all buttoned back up again.

For a 3 speed fan.
Installed in 30 plus year old ceiling fan and it worked just fine. Keep in mind wire colors may not match what's in your fan. Just leave the bad switch in place, do 1 wire at a time to the new switch then pull the old switch out, mount the new one. If you have a light assembly below, don't let it hang by its wires. Disconnect and get it out of your way first.

It works
The switch in my fan broke and this new switch worked perfectly and saved me the cost of a new fan.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy
The switch replacement was really easy. My old switch was exactly marked like the new switch was, with numbers 1,2,3, and the letter L. The wires were slightly different colors, but it doesn’t matter. Just match the numbers and letter L. Now that it’s been installed it feels really solid and works perfectly. Overall it’s a job that just about anyone can do.

Ceiling fan Switch
The speeds not working properly the third speed is not slow is hi. The reason I changed it is because the chain broke and it was working properly before.

Didn't work for me, but..
Something i just learned. This 4 wire switch is L-1, L-2 and L-3. What i needed was L-1, L-2-3, L-3. Because of that, my speeds are high, low, and low. It wasn't the switch, it was my not knowing. Now I do. This switch works the way it should, so i'll keep this anyway. Live and learn. :-)

ONE SPEED, cheap cable -- DON'T BUY!!!
I wired this exactly as my old one: Wire for wire, color for color. I only get one speed and it is the slowest speed. In fact, this is the exact one I bought ONLY SIX MONTHS AGO. The pull cable broke on the previous one and the fan was stuck on HIGH until I could fix it. I won't buy again. Also, the other one only gave me TWO SPEEDS. So, one gave me a single speed, the only two speeds, and the cable broke. Both wired EXACTLY THE SAME. These switches are REAL JUNK.
