My most impressive knife
I've had this blade since 2019. Is it a knife or is it a machete? Well, it's kind of a hybrid. The blade is super thick and very high quality. I bought a Chinese steel10" knife before this and returned it because of the sheath that failed right off the get go. Knives are worth their weight in gold when you need them. You'll get what you pay for and if you go cheap at all you'll regret it. Although it's a very large blade it doesn't feel like it when you are using it. I absolutely love it for camping. This thing chops and cuts easily, sharpens easily and gets razor sharp. You will want to take good care of your blade after use though so it does not rust. It is high carbon so it's essential that you put a rust inhibitor and/or oil on it. I spray some in my sheath and oh about that sheath. It is amazing. I bet that sheath is worth $100 alone and is very high quality too. Esee did not skimp on a cheap junk made in China sheath. The blade comes out of the box razor sharp, it also sharpens easily and makes fast work out of sapplings with relative ease. The handle feels great in your hand and is well balanced and the slip resisitant grip and guards make for a safe knife to use. I'd never want to take a knife to kill a grizzly, but if all I had was one, I wish I would have this. This knife is Alaska tough. You will not regret buying this and it will be something you'll be proud of for a lifetime. This was my first Esee and I'm a huge fan now. I am shopping for another Esee knife for horizontal carry when in the wilderness of AK as I know I can count on every aspect of their products being reliable in places where failure is not an option. The best part is that it's made in American and I love supporting people that still make their products in the USA. They are usually the best too. You just can't beat American ingenuity and craftsmanship.

The second I held this knife in my hand I regretted ever hesitating to get it. The design is perfect. It feels like an extension of the body. It is literally shocking what a nice tool this is. Absolute heirloom quality. Don’t believe the hype, knife snobs will tell you that you gotta have a premium steel to be cool. Not true. This 1095 blade is absolutely cool, hard tempered and comes ripping sharp out of the box like an old buck knife. Sheath is excellent. Retention in the kydex is tight. Molle compatible, horizontal scout carry capable, as well as multiple vertical attachments. Buy 2.

The Only Camp Knife You'll Ever Need...
A beast of a camp knife, and the only one you'll ever need. Images are included to give a sense of scale. I have used this knife before that was owned by a friend. We put it through it's paces out camping. We put it to many camp related tasks, and it ate them all up, chopping, batoning firewood, even finer woodcraft tasks, feather-sticking, notching, etc. It holds it's edge very well and is easy to tune up when it needs it. Came quite sharp. The steel is very good, but it will rust so treating the blade between uses is recommended with some sort of dry film rust inhibitor. The blade is coated with a black coating material, not sure what it is, but in my experience it holds up pretty well with use, though it will eventually see wear if you use the blade for what it was made for. The sheath it comes with is molded Kydex on a high denier nylon back, I would guess around 1000. The sheath has a huge amount of lashing points, is molle compatible and is very well made. The kydex holds the blade in the sheath very tightly out of the box, but there is also a nylon strap with a metal snap to hold it in as well. I tried vigorously to get it to fall out using just the friction lock of the kydex but couldn't. I wear large sized Mechanix gloves and you can see from the picture how it fits in my hand. This is an amazingly well made, USA made tool, and should last you a lifetime if you properly care for it... and if it doesn't ESEE blades have a lifetime warranty. You want this knife. Super pleased to finally have one of my own. Note: The carabiner and paracord lanyard I put on myself, and don't come with the knife.

the best survival knife
This knife is the best large survival knife. the sheet it comes with is fantastic and locks it in tight. its the best all rounder with a large flat grind blade that suits anything. the handle is also really good and secure with great material that is grippy but still lets the hand move when chopping and doing work without hotspots or burning skin. nicely balanced and great size. after hard use there is no wear and there are people out there that have reviewed it online 3 times over a decade and swear by theirs. I really think this is the best allround adventure blade out there. 10/10

Not too heavy. Incredibly tough and keeps its edge very well.
This large blade became one of my favorites if not the favorite of my collection and I am more than likely going to own several more of these in the future.
