Are these green pacifiers a lime green (like they look in the picture) or are they the regular looking green color?

It's more of this green color, it's not lime green. http://www.amazon.com/Philips-Avent-Soothie-Pacifier-Months/dp/B007GUI0CM/ref=pd_sbs_ba_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=0XYHSG3MR77V2VS9H57R

are two packages with two units each?

Each package (1) comes with two pacifiers. So if you get two packages, you would get four pacifiers.

Are the nipples more soft than firm ?

To me they are firm. Not to soft

It always jumps out of the baby's mouth, although he desperately wants it. What can I do?

I have my daughter's own on a clip so it doesn't drop on the floor. Sometimes we hold it with our finger in the center. She's pretty good at holding it on her own though. I have friends who usually hold it until the baby gets the hang of it if it keeps popping out.
