I was interested in the foam squares to baby proof my fireplace area. I saw several pictures online with people using them to pad The area around the fireplace so I thought I would give it a try. I was a little skeptical because I didn't know if the baby would be constantly pulling at the blocks and if they would stay together. I first purchased a set from Walmart and they had the alphabet in the blocks I do not recommend these for baby proofing because the letters kept coming out of the squares and were all over the floor. They wouldn't stay in the the foam block. Also the bright colors in my living room really looked bad. So I started looking at different alternatives for foam blocks and I saw these in the color gray and after long consideration I finally ordered them. The rock around my fireplace is gray and brown tones so I thought the gray would not stand out as bad as the primary colors. When I received the blocks I could tell a major difference. These blocks are so much thicker than the ones I purchased at Walmart. They actually stay together and work great. My fireplace area has sharp edges as well as a round area so I was actually able to cut A couple of the squares and completely cover the round area. These are great. They are heavy duty and my daughter cannot get them apart. I have not had to stick them back together or anything once I have put them on one time. They are the real deal if you're going to order blocks for your floor or your fireplace. Also I had read something about a smell with some of the foam squares but there was really no smell with these blocks/Squares. Great purchase I would definitely order again. You get what you pay for.

Got these in the six colour Nyah's ago when my baby first started needing a soft play space, but the bright colours always bothered me as I prefer neutrals. I needed to extend the mat play area to accommodate a larger space and was searching for more neutral coloured mats and got these in grey and they look great! They fit perfectly with the previous mats and tone down the brightness. Would highly recommend.

Excellent quality. Thicker than other brands and no smell.

The floor tiles make an excellent protective covering for the babies play area. They are a darker black than appears on the website -- which is great.

These Non-Toxic Mats work great for us on our hardwood floors.

We have these and larger for baby proofing on hard wood floors around rugs. Work great!
