Automotive Flat Twin 2 Core Thin Wall Cable 12V 24V Copper Wire (0.5mm² 11Amps, 10 Metres Coil)

Cheap and cheerful wire that's well suited to LED lighting and other low voltage applications. I've had no issues with the product and found it easy to work with as part of a recent project to add LED shelf lighting to a bookcase. It was flexible enough to work around tight corners and I've had no connection issues with the strips once soldered. At this price point I'd recommend the product.

The Wire4u ACC-12 2 0.5sqmm two-core car cable is rated at a maximum current of 11Amps at 75°C and will fuse in about ten seconds at around 55Amps. The cores are coded Black, usually 0V, and Red, often +12V or signal. This is a low voltage cable and it’s insulation thickness is unsuitable for mains supplies. For my 10metre sample, I measured a loop impedance of about 0.9 Ohm, or 0.045Ohms per meter in each conductor, which is near enough correct for this size of copper conductor, approximately 20AWG. I’m using it to power a set of reversing sensors and a reversing camera, all tagged off the reversing lamp wiring. Being thin and easy to hold in position with a few small cable ties, and with the essential protection of an outer sheath against sharp edges, and only carrying a few tens of milliamps, this cable is ideal for these purposes. I would not choose it for a high current application such as a headlamp or a speaker where voltage drop could be significant.

Good quality cable, nothing special, but nothing wrong with it either. Will buy again when need more.
