This is a nice, solid foil cutter. It is very sharp and works like a charm.

So many products these days are cheap, flimsy or ineffective, but NOT this WMF Vino Foil Cutter. It is a heavy, solid, durable, and well-made piece of craftsmanship built to do its job - and what a job it does. Makes opening the wine seal an absolute breeze. Truly impressed with the superior quality!

I received one of these in a package along with a cork screw and a few other items for wine... years ago for a Christmas present. All the other pieces got lost or whatever.... but 18 years later the foil cutter finally broke... one of the slicer wheels fell out. It was horrible living without it! :-) I finally found a replacement and was afraid it would be a cheap imitation. It isn't, it's a wonderful cutter. It's heavy, sharp and works cleanly every single time. SO happy to have this again in my life! LOL!

I wanted to give the WMF Foil Cutter several months of use before writing a product review. I have been using it for the past eight months and the product still does an excellent job cutting foil. Easy to use with a thumb press button on the side. Works excellent cutting foil on all bottle diameters that I have tried. Sturdy construction and worth the investment.

I've had my foil cutter for years and like it so much I give it as gifts to other wine lovers I know. They always rave at how easy it is to use, what a good job it does and how well its made.

After a few months of use, I can say this product is well constructed, durable, and beautiful. But like most foil cutters I've tried, it doesn't fit all bottles, and only works great on a few styles. It seems like the product would work much better (and more consistently) if the blades had a bit more range of motion and were set to contact the bottle a bit farther down the neck. As it is, on many bottle styles, the blades just can't reach into the recesses of the spout, and nothing is cut.

One surprising thing was how solid and pleasantly heavy it feels! Rather than feeling cheap or anything you can tell just by holding it that it is durable and will do its job. Very please, quick clean cut with minimal effort.

Works very well on most bottles but it very heavy and there is really no need for this weight. Not usable is the bottle is a bit larger as the foil cutter is not adjustable for larger sizes
