This 'Collins School Dictionary & Thesaurus' is the perfect reference for all students aged 10-14. A combined dictionary and thesaurus it has been developed with teachers to be the perfect tool for both school work and homework. Review: Brilliant. - My 9yr old grandson has been pestering me for a thesaurus - ever since he saw me using my electronic one. I have the manual dictionary, separate manual thesaurus and, also, manual wordfinder. I told him when I was young - oh those famous words - that I practically ate my dictionary looking for words for a crossword. Back to said book. When it arrived he spent the afternoon reading it - yes reading and said he would take it in to school next day. His friend asked him what he had - as though it's quite small it's very thick - so he told him and said he was going to read it. To which his friend replied that's going to take you a long time. LOL All in all a good buy for the genuinely interested. Review: Too small for school children to handle easily - When I ordered this dictionary, I didn't get the sense that it was this small. Definitely not easy for the young ones to handle. Also, the print is really small.Having the key words in blue bold fonts helps a little.

Brilliant.

Too small for school children to handle easily
When I ordered this dictionary, I didn't get the sense that it was this small. Definitely not easy for the young ones to handle. Also, the print is really small.Having the key words in blue bold fonts helps a little.

Lovely little dictionary
Purchased ready for my daughter to start senior school with. Even though there are many makes of dictionary's to buy, " Collins " is the one I would recommend for use in school. Arrived quickly after placing my order & am very pleased.

A handy sized dictionary/thesaurus. My seven year old son has started to learn to use it & the thesaurus has provided him with new ways and words while writing his imaginitive stories...... A good buy
