Review: Paddleboard Leash - The coiled cord on this leash reminds me of the old landline phones we had, only this one is much, much better. It is thicker and has greater retention. The padding on the ankle portion is top notch. No worries there. The other end offers a Velcro strap and/or a string that can wrap around a stainless steel D-ring or a Carry handle. BTW, I recommend connecting the leash to the center carry handle, not the stern, as shown in the sellers' photos. It'll make re-boarding easier. YMMV. I've been using my inflatable stand up paddleboard for years and TBH, don't use the leashes provided that much. When I'm on a large lake and it's really windy, then yes, I use a leash. But when it's really windy, I'm not standing but sitting and using a double-blade paddle kayak-style. I got this leash for others to use when we go out to the lake. We have several SUPs and sometimes we go out with a big group. I always make sure each guest has a leash and even life jacket if they are not a strong swimmer or a small child. This leash, by a brand I know, Mountocean, (I have a paddleboard of theirs) is impeccably made, with attention to detail. Paddle ankle, two swivels, one on each end to avoid tangles, and a 10' coiled cord that is strong and durable. This leash should last for many years. Recommended Review: Not angle leash replacement for any paddleboard. - I actually had a Paddleboard that I picked up that did not have a leash so I needed a replacement. Mountocean has always had great paddleboard products in the past. I picked this leash up because it rotates on both ends so you donโt have to worry about it getting tangled up while youโre out there enjoying the water. It also can hook onto a handle and not just a D ring, which is a very nice touch. The fabric for your ankle strap is very comfortable and will drain water easily. Overall, the cord is very strong and they give you a good amount of length as well. When youโre out there on a stand-up paddleboard the last thing you want do is fall off and have your board go flying away without you and this is a surefire way to keep it attached if you fall in. I would highly recommend this leash and if I ever lose one from my other Paddleboardโs, I would be ordering this one again for sure.

High quality ankle strap
A safety strap is a must for paddleboarding on an open body of water. This ankle strap is a high quality solution! The 8' length coils up to a convenient 18 inches when not extended. The coiled cable has a thick coating of smooth, flexible plastic. It can attach to the board via a rope look or firm velcro. The padded ankle attachment is held secure by up to 8" of velcro. The velcro sticks well. The jet black design with a bright yellow brand accent around the ankle will look good with most boards. With swivel connectors on both the board and ankle sides, this strap combines both function and style.

Bodyboard
this leash can be this leash can be used on various aquatic devices. I'm going to use it on a boogie board I have where the leash wore out. This is well made it has a coiled cord which makes it easier to swim with or paddle with. And is well made and should last a number of years. Got to have a leash for your board and this one is a good one.

stress free paddling
Perfect accessory for our paddleboard. Our child had enough anxiety just learning to stand and paddle. He didn't also need the stress of worrying the SUP would float out of reach if he fell. With that stress gone from wearing the leash, it was a much more enjoyable time. He was dancing and singing "stayin' alive" as he learned from CPR training. Then jumping off.

Take your time with attachments, but, once completed, this is a solid tether/leash!
This is a handy addition to our inflatable kayak. Check your connection and test as it isn't necessarily an intuitive attachment. Once done correctly, this is a very solid connection to keep your item tethered to you, your SUP or inflatable, and your paddle, etc. Works very nicely!

Its comfortable, thick, and seems to be of good quality - need to test it in surf conditions...
At 7mm the leash looks way thicker than the 6mm FCS I have, haven't measured either. Comfortable to wear, the hidden key pocket is nice, will see once I use it and update with any changes.

Decent Leash
Seems to be high quality. The bearings all move smoothly and survive tug tests. I do like the coil, it helps keep the leash from getting tangled while giving me some space from the board when I fall. The velcro also seems to work well on both ends. I appreciate the inclusion of an extra leash rope, I always lose them somehow.
