This book gives a great overview of social psychology as applied to many different areas e.g. classroom, culture, diversity, workplace, education, prison, etc. I would prefer that it went more in depth in the different areas, and offered more empirical evidence of the different concepts. It is easy to read and well organized, but sometimes it feels as though the content is more from the author's own experience and not a lot of research was done. I'm sure that is not the case, but it comes off as though all the evidence in support of the different concepts and theories is anecdotal rather than empirical. Once again, it seems like a good overview - but if you really want to go in depth in the study of applied social psychology, I would recommend utilizing this along with supplemental materials.

Excellent book especially for studying for licensing exams. Contains explanations of landmark research in social psychology and how it can be applied in a variety of social settings. The authors are straightforward which allows for efficient reading and understanding of material.
