We have lots of iron in our water, the CLR dissolves the stains well

I live in Los Angeles, where we have hard water. And the hard water clogs up the "jets" in my toilet bowl, meaning it can take several flushes to get rid of the contents of the bowl. CLR (and an Allen wrench or other tool to dislodge the mineral buildup) is super effective in helping to reduce the blockages and return my toilet to proper functioning. I should probably do a quarterly maintenance treatment to keep it in optimum condition, but I'm also lazy and don't have a great deal of interest in messing with my toilet unless absolutely necessary.

I bought this to use on a drain in my utility room that had rusted over. It works great but you do have to do a little work on your own as well. I poured it on the drain and waited maybe 5 minutes and that's all it took to then be able to clear out some of the holes on the drain and get the rust off. It doesn't just remove the rust for you - you will need something like an allen wrench to poke through the holes or a scraper to get the rust off of the surface. The rust color did not go away but it certainly looks better than it did. The bottle doesn't leak and is not heavy so it's very easy to use.

Can't find this in my local grocery store, but it is the only cleaning product that actually removes mineral buildup on sink drains and shower door surrounds. My cleaning person just doesn't seem to "get it" and I have to keep showing her and then doing myself, but it does work when used. It isn't an all purpose cleaner; it does what it is designed to do. Remind me please, I'll have to use this over the weekend myself now that I inspect the shower door and see it is getting a real build up at the bottom of the shower door that those all purpose cleaning products and the service people who are supposed to use them but aren't getting done ahem... all cleaning people in the business should be using this but aren't even when the home owner buys the product...

This is by far the best product for calcium and rust build removal up with regards to plumbing
