Helpful privacy scanner for travel and rentals
I picked this up mainly for peace of mind when staying in unfamiliar places and it has been surprisingly easy to use. The controls are straightforward and after a few minutes of testing around my own home I understood how the signal strength meter responds to electronics. The adjustable sensitivity dial helps narrow down where a signal is coming from instead of just beeping randomly. The device feels lightweight but not fragile and fits easily in a bag or carry on. The antenna and flexible probe make it easier to scan around outlets, behind TVs, smoke detectors, and tight corners where small devices could be hidden. The visual indicator bar is very helpful because you can slowly move around the room and watch the signal increase as you get closer to an active electronic source. I like that it charges and doesn’t require constant battery replacements, and the size makes it practical to take to hotels, rentals, or even an office space if you want extra privacy reassurance. It does pick up normal electronics like routers and phones, so there is a small learning curve while you figure out how to lower the sensitivity and isolate the source, but once you understand that it works well. Overall it’s a useful tool for anyone who travels often or just wants an added level of privacy awareness. Easy to operate, portable, and gives reassurance when checking a room.

Two out of three functions work well — but the camera detector underdelivers
The product description is broadly accurate, but the instructions are written in such dense, awkward English that I had to reread sections multiple times and experiment before I could get the unit working. I did get there eventually, but it wasn’t the “one‑click beginner‑friendly” experience the listing promises. On the performance side, the RF detection works well. It reliably identifies activity across different frequency bands, and the magnetic field detector does exactly what it should: it correctly picks up magnets of the type commonly used to mount GPS trackers or small listening devices. The bendable shaft and built‑in flashlight are actually practical touches, letting you probe into cavities or tight spaces. The weak link is the camera detector. In theory, you select a flashing LED frequency that should cause a hidden camera’s sensor to reflect back a glint of light, making it visible through the red viewing window. In practice, I’ve never seen this mode work — not once. Most cameras nowadays have anti-glare coatings that make this detection technique obsolete. So while the unit claims three detection modes, only two of them feel dependable. If you’re buying this primarily for RF and magnetic field detection, it’s a solid, compact tool that performs as advertised. If the camera‑finding feature is important to you, temper your expectations.

Perfect for travel
This device is ideal for travel. I can sleep soundly in my hotel or air b&b thanks to this device. I don’t travel without this! It’s easy to use and doesn’t take up space in the luggage because of how small it is. The battery life is good and I haven’t had to charge it much. Great for tracking as well!

What the heck price are they selling this at? Ehhh
OK- I had a hard time giving this item a review. It's been around for at least 7 years and I've found it for as low as $15. When I ordered this for review the price was $99. Right now it's $49, Does it work? I guess? Does it do what it says? Kinda. When you turn it on and adjust sensitivity it will pick up Wifi, phone and other Over the air type of signals. You have no clue what they are tho as it only detects a signal. In many instances, you also have to be right on top of the signal or adjust the sensitivity way up for consistency. I have no clue clue how to detect GPS as the instructions tell you how to operate it, not how to use it? I am not even sure if it was finding the airtag on my cat's collar as the signal was very erratic and picking up any signal randomly in the vicinity. The magnetic detector works for very strong magnetic signals, but not weaker ones, and definitely is proximity dependent. The IR camera/light detector requires you to be right on top of it to be able to notice any type of IR. I tested it using my laptop camera and the IR on the laptop was so tiny, I had to do multiple on/off test just to be sure. If you are in a room with IR and can't turn the IR off, it's a guessing game whether you are actually picking up IR, or just getting a reflection from their red LED array. Overall, it might be a fun present for a kid at $15, but not at $50. Packaged very professionally, I really wanted, or expected more.

Quality components, but not easy to understand how to use
While the general quality of this device's construction seems excellent, the functionality seems like something you already need to be an expert in, as the included instructions are not very helpful. I tried scanning a few communication devices around my office, and while I could get a detected signal, I did not find it intuitive trying locate devices as though I didn't know where they were. I also found the "GS probe" confusing, as was the indexed ring around the camera detector.

Nice product
I am very surprised by how good this thing is. I was trying to test how far this thing can check the signal, it can test pretty far actually. The red light is also works pretty well on checking the reflecting of camera. I will carry it whenever travel. Good product! Worth of money!
