I am a 75 year old woman and in 2004 I had an operation on my spine, because it wasn’t done correctly I have needed a back support cushion. Over the years I have purchased many to no avail, but now I can honestly say that this one is perfect for me. If you have back pain, try it.

This is my unbiased review of TANYOO Back Support Pillow for Recliner, which I received free of charge. Anyone that has suffered with lower back pain will agree that sitting on a chair for a while starts getting uncomfortable, and can make your back really start to ache. To that end, finding anything that can help ease the pain, or stop it coming on in the first place is well worth trying. I jumped at the chance to try out this pillow from Tanyoo. The pillow arrived vacuum packed, and opening it up it sprang quite quickly into shape with a thin top edge tapering out to a thicker bottom edge. The material cover feels nice, and is clearly well made, with a decent looking zip to release the foam filling to allow washing of the cover. The width of the pillow is nicely adequate to fill a seat for one person, and it sits nicely at the back of a sofa without falling over. My initial thought was that it was going to be a waste of time, as the pillow is extremely soft and "squidgy", and when I sat back on the sofa, while I could feel the pillow it just felt like it had way to much "give" to do anything very useful. Undeterred I got myself comfy and got out the laptop ready for the lower back pain to start up as usual some time shortly after. I have to say that I sat working for a good couple of hours before I realised that I hadn't realised how long I had been sat there. I wasn't feeling any discomfort, or needing to fidget, and my back, while not perfect, certainly wasn't nagging like it normally would. I was genuinely quite surprised by this, and even sitting for a further 45 minutes actually thinking about my back, I still felt pretty comfortable. I unzipped the pillow cover for the review photos, and there is a nice piece of foam in there, and in general everything about the pillow says that it is a quality product. That said, for the price of it, I certainly would be expecting something of premium quality, as it most definitely is not cheap. For the comfort I felt though, and the extended period of time I was able to sit in one place, I actually think that over time the price would definitely feel like a good investment. I would definitely give it a thumbs up for any fellow back pain sufferers, it certainly helps me.

This back support pillow from TANYOO arrives vacuum packed and the instructions say to leave it for 24 - 48 hours to let it recover it's volume, it took much less than this. Working from home I quite often find myself using my laptop whilst sat on the settee. Whilst it is relaxing it's not good for my back, I've managed so far using cushions or pillows but that's not very good for posture. The pillow is made from a dual layer of foam and shredded memory foam and designed to provide ergonomic support. This pillow has a great mix of soft cushion yet as I sit back into it I then get the firmer support that allows me to work without getting back ache. The cover has a zipper so is removable for washing - not too bad getting the pillow out but putting it back in is a little harder. I do like the colour as it almost perfectly matches the sofa and blends in well, not looking out of place at all. Overall the cushion performs well providing good where it is needed without being so firm it is uncomfortable and all for under £30 - great value.

The back support cushion fills the width of my large seat sofa and stays where I put it. I did have a large and a smaller cushion essentially offering the same support but not for the whole width of the sofa back cushion. This new cushion is better as it's one piece offers support for my back with that additional support for the lower back and as I said has the wider coverage. It comes vaccume packed and regains it's shape quickly once opened. I don't often suffer from back pain so can't comment on pain relief, but I definitely appreciate the support as our sofa is too deep and low for my preference. Only thing I would suggest would improve this is a better cover colour selection. Brown and gray are not the colours I would choose. That said the cover is fair quality and is removable if washing is required. The inner is foam, with memory foam top. Dimensions are 19" width x16" height x5.5" depth at base. Price at time of review is £27.99 which seems reasonable.

I've had this pills for a few weeks now and I've been using it everyday. It is extremely comfortable and provides a fantastic level of support for your back. It is the perfect size to fit on my chair and looks really good to boot. The pillow is made from soft material and I've actually used it to sleep on when having a nap. There is a high quality and durable zip that allows you to remove the cover for cleaning. This is my favourite pillow at the moment and I think it is great value for money and would recommend it to all.

Never going back to scatter cushions again. I'm in heaven right now. Literally now, doing reviews, not moving again! It arrives vacuum packed but soon bounces into shape. It's heavily wadded so the top layer is extremely comfortable and the base layer is supportive and holds the shape perfectly. The fabric is soft, good quality and the grey colour is neutral and would suit most decors. The angle is great positioned both vertically, as a standard cushion, and horizontally, for laying down. It's been fantastic both on our living room sofa and in the gaming room.
