I have had this case on my phone since May 2019. It is very durable and my phone is well protected! After more than two years there are some scratches on the plastic screen covering, so I thought about getting a new case. After looking around on Amazon, I think I will only buy this case. Yes, it makes the phone bulkier. That is the price you pay to keep your phone in one piece if it gets dropped, right? In the past I have had phone cases with no cover over the front glass and the did fine, but now I have a four-year-old daughter and I am keeping the extra protection. This case fits well, the touch screen is as responsive as it would be without the plastic cover. The fingerprint reader works well too. My calls are not muffled. It's funny, I recently had to switch my sim card when my cellular provider was bought out, and I had some issues with muffled calls — I was yelling into my phone and they couldn't hear me. I thought maybe it was the case, but I did some phone maintenance and calls are clear again, even with the case on. I have no idea how I fixed my issue, but I did. Haha. So it wasn't this case causing an issue. I read a review that said this case is hard to remove. The case has a notch in a lower corner where you can use an edge to pry and open the case to remove your phone. Of course it's not going to be easy, this thing is water resistant! Anyway, if you are hesitating, go with this one. It's really good. If I get a new case, I might get a gray one instead of black. More colors would be nice!

i absolutely love this phone case i am so hard on my phone and i no matter how rough i am on it this case protects it ! The only thing i wish i could change is the color . id love to have the option of something other than black . This is the second one ive bought after a few years .

I don't like how bulky it makes the phone. It no longer fits in my cup holder in my car that I use to sit it in while driving. It still fits in the mount for a tripod. You have to relearn how to use the finger print reader and know exactly where to place your finger. I can only use my left hand index finger now. I have the index and middle of both hands registered but it's only really possibly to use the left index now. I have straight knock out dropped it though and it's still holding up. My phone isn't tripping at all. I HATE the Bixby key so I just cut it off with a razor and now I never accidently hit it anymore. Thank God. The edge isn't exposed anymore so when it does get dropped I know the edge won't break, which is the reason I bought the case. It's kind annoying dealing with the cover for the charger at first but you get use to it. I recently removed the headphone jack cover and it was stiff! If you're a Bluetooth headset/ear buds user, you're good. But if you want to use headphones with an auxiliary jack, you're out of there. It's supposedly water proof but there is clearly a hole on the charger cover that I'm guessing the mic hears out of, and a hole on top that you can see the phone through so idk about dunking it under water or recording video underwater but it does feel secure. For the price, it's alright. The spigen I had definitely let my phones screen shatter on me and once I replaced that, it dropped again and then people couldn't hear me when I was talking. I've dropped this phone in this case so hard that you would think I was trying to mess it up and it's taken a lickin and keeps on ticking! Cheap, but practical.

Happy with my purchase. After reading some reviews I decided I would give this a try compared to some of the more expensive cases in this style. I am not disappointed. This case is designed to be waterproof, which for me working outside in any conditions was a must. After the initial test not one drop of water got into the case. It is durable and the design of how the phone sits inside is what I was looking for. The phone is seated between stoppers to absorb shock when drop on its sides. Tested with an OEM (Original) Samsung charger and it fits perfectly. The case even holds the charger in place due to the charging ports size. The headphone jack gave no issues with both the earbuds, and headset I have. Audio quality is on point when the phone is seated correctly upon installation. Which is made easy due to the shock absorbing cushions on the inside. The screen protector is very responsive. Tested with both a brand new screen protector on my phone, and without one. The instructions say to remove it, but my curiosity got the best of me and I wanted to test with it on being it was a brand new screen protector. The case itself is a bit bulky if you have smaller hands, but this is not much of an issue for me. It is comfortable to hold and is actually pretty thin. Camera quality is the same for me with the case on and off so no issues there. Finally the fingerprint reader as of this review is functioning exactly as it should be. Overall I would recommend this product for anyone in need of a new case of this style and looking for a cost effective option.

(Update 8/18/21) All comments from original review still apply, with the added comment that the sound is greatly reduced in quality due to the waterproof screen. As well as when trying to access the phones settings and wifi, you have to apply some pressure when swiping down the screen. It's an additional annoyance. I did recommend this product on my initial review. But after having it for over a week, the minor annoyances are an every day annoyance which turns into having an annoying experience when trying to use your phone. There are better products out there that both protect, do not hinder the user, or degrade your experience while using your phone. I've dropped my 4 star rating to 3 stars for these reasons. _________________________________ (Original review) For the price, you can't beat the type of protection this provides for your expensive hand held computer aka your phone. Granted I just bought it, and haven't dropped it yet, but it feels heavily protected and with the added built in screen protector, it gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling that your phone is indestructible. My only real complaints are with the power button and the headphone jack protector flap. I hope you eat your WHEATIES because you must apply significant pressure to the power button when turning on or off your phone. And if you use your phone alot, your thump is gonna be sore, so I suggest learning how to play bass guitar and build up a callus on your thumb because your thumb will thank you for it. As for the headphone jack flap, maybe it's just this one case but it is glued down almost to the edge of the jack input and with regular use, it will will tear and break off, so no more waterproof headphone jack. Not to mention with it being glued so closely to the edge, it's a real pain to close is. You have to tuck in the piece that fills the hole then you have to forcefully push it in to close up, how was this so hard to design? It's not like your plugging a hole in a sinking ship, should take no effort at all to plug that cap back. Overall, I recommend it, but first buy a bass and strengthen up that thumb.

I Don't normally write reviews but I feel like this product is so amazing I needed to say something about it. When I 1st got it I did all the water test and it held up nicely. The phone fits well in the case and seals completely. The touchscreen responds very well and protects the entire phone front and back. At the very top of the touch screen it takes a little more pressure to get a response to pull down the menu but that's my only complaint about this case. Today I have the phone in my shower and I dropped it from a pretty high distance. Faring the worst I looked it over. the only reason why it had gotten water Inside the case was because I had the charging port unplugged. Had I had the port sealed the phone would to stayed completely dry. The phone is water resistant anyway so it was not a big deal and not a scratch to the phone. I get a lot of compliments on this case and should the film get damaged at all I would definitely buy a new one. ****Updated review, Today i dropped my phone hard on the concrete. I thought my phone had i tiny spider crack. when i pulled it out of case it was perfectly fine. i rinsed the case off and wiped it with a soft cloth and the plastic film was good as new. it had protected my phone perfectly.

The case is designed well with only three issues that I found. One was opening the port covers, two was accessing icons on the phones screen at the extreme top and bottom due to phone's screen curvature, and finally, because the case screen is a plastic type material, I have already gotten several small scratches on it and this could become problematic in a few months. Not sure if a lot of scratches would reduce readability long term. I don't believe it will effect usability, but rather only readability. The two port covers on the bottom are somewhat difficult to get open without having good fingernails or a small screwdriver. As you can see in the closeup of the port cover I opened, the small raised edge is virtually impossible to grab due to its size. I tested the case underwater for 30 minutes, and then opened and closed the port 30+ times and retested. I would give it a 10 out of 10 in this area. Additionally the actual material that the case was made of has just enough rubber in it to make it flexible, but it maintains a high enough plasticity level that it slides in and out of my pocket very easily unlike others I tested which the rubber material was soft and very almost sticky and would fight me and drag stuff out of my pocket with it. The issues I have with the top and bottom of the screen is in accessing icons at the extreme top and bottom where indicated in the picture. Because the screen on the S8 curves down in these areas, you have to sometimes press and hold and then drag down because it appears that screen to case contact is marginally less at these areas as opposed to the other 95% or so of the screen. The other issue is that because the screen is plastic, I have already scratched it several times. I don't believe this will effect usability of the phone in the future, but perhaps effect readability many months down the road. These issues are relatively minor and overall, I really do like the case a lot. Hopefully the manufacturer will address these issues in future releases of the case as barring the few really minor issues "Its a really GOOD case", and one that I would buy again.

Its a little too big, and the charging port hole is too small. It pretty much does what it says on the box. Life proof case is better but costs 3 times as much.

I didn't want to spend the money on a LifeProof case, so here I am. I must say that this case is an excellent alternative, and in some ways it is better than LifeProof. I purchased this case for a Samsung Galaxy S8+. The built in screen protector is much better than LifeProof in my humble opinion. It fits closer to the screen and it's difficult to tell that it's there at all. A+ on that front. The case is a little bit larger than LifeProof, but I'm not complaining. It's probably half a centimeter wider and a tiny bit thicker. The fingerprint reader is pretty good. Because of the case's extra thickness, it took me a little while to get used to how the fingerprint reader is recessed into the case. However, now that I'm used to it I don't notice a difference in the time it takes to unlock my phone. The glass/durable plastic used to cover the rear camera is top-notch. I mean seriously, LifeProof has a weak plastic over the rear camera lens which makes it easy to get scratched. I really like how clear my pictures are turning out now. Like many others, I haven't tried the waterproofing or examined the insides for dust residue. However, from the looks of it this thing is sealed quite well. The I/O covers used to plug the headphone jack and charging port are super tight. Also, the headphone jack doesn't need an adapter! This might be my favorite part, but some people might hate it. LifeProof uses an adapter there so your phone is still watertight while you have your headphones plugged in - this one doesn't. Still, I like this because I don't want to carry an adapter all over the place. The buttons are nice and clicky. They don't feel mushy like other cases. The look of the case is sleek too. It has a slim feel despite its bulk. This is a rugged case, so don't expect it to be slim. I like the look and I think anyone who digs the rugged look will like it too. Overall I feel like I've purchased a premium phone case at half the price.

Another update: it's been 3 years of using this case and I'm buying another one because the headphone jack cover and the charging port cover finally fell off BUT my phone still works great, and it's 5 years old now. I went through two Lifeproof cases before trying this one and they only lasted about a year each. I've never had a phone last this long (5 years!) and this case was so helpful in protecting it even though I dropped it on the floor several times. Update: 2 years later this case is still going strong so I changed my rating to 5 stars. I dropped my phone multiple times and it's fine. The buttons still work fine, whereas on my Lifeproof cases the buttons always wore out after a year. The only thing I don't like is that it's quite heavy and bulky but it works so well that I don't mind that much anymore. Update: a year later, this case is still going strong so I added a star. It's heavier and more bulky than my old Lifeproof case but I got used to it. The buttons are now easier to press than in the beginning, and they aren't falling apart like the Lifeproof buttons which wore out for me after a year, several times. Overall, I would now recommend this case. I bought this case to replace my Lifeproof case. I've been using Lifeproof cases for years and wanted a replacement when the power button and volume button wore out, but Lifeproof discontinued the model for my current phone. So I bought this Lanhiem case because of the good reviews. It's much more bulky than the Lifeproof, and the corners of the case I received have tiny cracks even though the case looks new. I don't think this case will be as durable as the Lifeproof, and I don't trust it to be waterproof, but I will use it for now.

Case arrived fairly quickly and appears to be sturdy and well built. Fits my Galaxy S8 Plus perfectly. Works with my wireless charger, and fingerprint scanner works through the case, which is a bonus. I did have to re scan my fingerprint after putting the case on, but after I did that it works perfectly. Have not tested the case as far as waterproofing goes yet. I like the clear back of the case, it shows off the phone nicely. I got this case used through Amazon Warehouse Deals for $14.50 which I consider a really good deal!
