There is a back taste that's metallic to me. I couldn't eat it. Even the texture was not as smooth as I expected. Such a disappointment.

It may be non-dairy but taste like the real thing. +++

I found that this product makes great soft serve but it is pretty sweet and strong vanilla flavoring. Typical mix is about 12 oz of powder to 1 qt of water so I have found that using 1/2 of that amount or 6 oz and use 1 qt unsweetened almond milk makes awesome ice cream at half the calories and taste great. Throw in a couple bananas, blend up and it taste wonderful. My grandkids love it. It freezes well without setting up like a block of ice.
