Perfect for protecting boots/shoes or car seat leather
Love this spray! I own several pairs of Ariat western boots and have tried other cleaners. I honestly didn't get this my boots though. I got it for my car. I recently got a new Bronco with leather seats and have been so concerned with keeping them in good condition. I stewed and stewed on what to put on them that wouldn't change the seat color or mess with the texture. This popped up and I decided to give it a go. I know Red Wing has been around for many, many years and is an excellent quality boot maker, my husband has used their boots for work for years. I figured if their boots are good, their boot care must be good as well. I cleaned and conditioned my seats with Red Wing cleaner and oil first. I probably didn't need this step, but went ahead with it anyway. My seats are in a car with significant in and out of sports equipment and teenage boys so I figured it couldn't hurt to have the extra layer. For this one, I just misted it on directly and wiped over it with a cloth. No residue left or anything. I loved that none of this made a weird smell after use, no issues with my seats changing colors, no transfer to skin/clothes since it dries quickly. Figured if it's good enough for $200 boots, might as well see how it works on a $60k car lol. I loved this product and think I will stick with it. It's a great price point, easy to use with good instructions and I have plenty left in each container after going through all the seats. My leather definitely looks better than it did before the application. Will prob do it every 4 months or so.

Easy to use and seems effective
This is a review for the Red Wing Leather Protector spray. I got this to revive my beautiful soft leather ankle boots after a rough NYC winter, and the boots definitely looked better after spraying them. It's a 4 oz bottle and I used about 1/2 an oz on my boots. It's easy to use with the spray nozzle. Don't use it in an enclosed space cause the smell and fumes can get gnarly. That said, the smell wasn't too offensive and didn't linger. I applied this protector right before a couple of major snow falls and after a few weeks my boots still look like they did after spraying them, so that probably means it's doing it's job! I've never used this brand before but it seems good quality so I'll probably try some other products of theirs.

A Little Help for Some Well Worn Boots
This comes in a 4‑ounce bottle, which is enough to treat about 5–6 pairs of leather boots. At the current price, it comes to a little over $2–3 per pair, which is solid value for a protector that applies cleanly and doesn’t alter the leather. The sprayer puts out a very fine mist, making it easy to apply a light, even coating—much simpler than working with pastes or oils. I’ve tried other waterproofing sprays that darkened the leather, but this Red Wing spray dries quickly, isn’t sticky, and keeps the original color unchanged. Exactly what I want in a leather protector. These old boots in the photos are just too comfortable to give up... and no product can resurrect the dead parts, but Red Wing Leather Protector can make the live parts last a bit longer.

Pump sprayer leaves tiny dots
I didn't really think about it when I ordered this, but the fact that the sprayer is a pump rather than an aerosol means that it doesn't apply as evenly as other products I'm used to. Obviously you can't get as fine of a spray out of a pump, so even though it's about as fine as I think a pump can be, there are still some little droplets that are left on the leather, which may be visible when dry, depending on your item. For my first application, I cleaned my boots with leather cleaner, let then dry, then applied as directed. It did dry fast and did not leave an overall finish of any kind, shiny or matte. However, once it was dry I saw a couple of little spots, so I re-cleaned those areas and re-applied, trying hard to get as fine of a coverage as possible. Unfortunately I still saw a pattern of tiny dots. I repeated the process on another pair of boots and had the same results. See my photo.

Not 8oz.
It's 4 oz bottle, quite steep, but it's a Red Wing brand. It doesn't stain your leather shoes as long as you sprayed accordingly. Great for water protection, but not stated how long will it last before needing to re-apply. It came securely bagged to avoid spillage elsewhere in case it was boxed with multiple different orders. It did leak abit inside the bag, but I saw no puncture and the lid still on. There's no odor, didn't change the suppleness of my shoes, and there's white waxy residue forming like a morning dew, but they evaporated overtime leaving no marks.

Best Leather Protector
I use a lot of leather protector and this is one of the better ones I have tried. I love leather and buy things in leather whenever I can, and you need to protect your fine leather against dirt and moisture. This one is so handy because you just spray it on; it goes on evenly and dries cleanly without stickiness. It conditions the leather as it protects it. I sprayed on two coats, letting the first one dry and then giving it another coat. It made the water bead up on the leather so it didn't soak in and stain the leather, just what you want it to do. I would highly recommend this leather protector.

Red Wing Leather Protector
I recently purchased the Red Wing Leather Protector, and I’m genuinely pleased with the results! Red Wing is a well-respected brand, and this leather protector delivers a noticeable improvement to the look and feel of my leather boots. The quick-drying formula is fantastic – it’s incredibly easy to apply and absorb quickly, preventing any sticky residue. The spray delivers a noticeable waterproof barrier – it’s easy to tell when the protective layer has formed. The leather feels noticeably smoother after application, and it has a pleasant, subtle fragrance. It’s a great way to keep leather boots looking new. It’s a good value for the price and a very effective product, making it a solid choice for anyone wanting to protect their leather boots. Overall, I'd highly recommend this Red Wing Leather Protector as a fantastic way to maintain the quality and appearance of your leather boots.
