Can you paint over a printed image using transparent oil paint (e.g. Marshall's Oil)? Do you recommend using a fixative?

I’m curious whether it could be printed on, gessoed and then oil painted. Or would sizing and grounds be recommended? I’m certainly not advanced enough for the latter, but I could do the former.

Does the backing peal off so I can use the canvas fabric for sewing?

It doesn’t have a backing. It had a canvas feel on one side and the other side is smooth. I would think you could use it for sewing.

Can you sew with this?

This canvas is quite thick and stiff and athough you can sew onto it, it will not be easy. NOTE! that this is an artists canvas designed for pictures for the wall. You cannot use it for other applications

What color is the canvas paper? I have another that is off white and i’d like a true white. Thanks in advance!

This is a real canvas and not paper. It is almost pure white on the printing side and slightly creamy on the uncoated, back side.
