Review: Neat, powerful robot vaccuum - His vacuum is neat, we set a timer every day, leave it and let it do its thing. It picks up a lot of debris, it has excellent surface cleaner! Today we just tried the edge cleaning, which is also a neat feature. Occasionally the vacuum gets stuck, but it notifies you. We have not vacuumed our house since we have gotten the mooka. We love it, thinking about buying a second one for upstairs. It doesn't allow itself to fall down the stairs, it stops right on the first step. Would definitely purchase again! Review: Surprisingly good - Surprisingly good for the price. It picked up a lot and seemed to clean pretty well. It had a hard time differentiating between hard floor and rugs, but still got the job done. The battery life is also surprisingly good. It lasts for quite a while. The only hard part was trying to keep track of where it actually cleaned. A higher model with path programming would do this I'm sure. For this price it was better than expected.

Mooka has great customer service, robot vacuums is a work in progress
I'm updating my review and changing it from 3 stars to 5 stars because of the support from Mooka. They have been great to work with since I wasn't 100% satisfied with their product. This company went out of their way to help me and I would highly recommend buying from them if you are even thinking about trying out a robot vacuum, like I did. They were more than fair at working with me to find a satisfactory resolution to keep me as a satisfied customer. Thanks Mooka!!!!! This is a tough product to review because I'm sure some people will love it and some people will end up using it only a little bit if at all. My review isn't as much about this specific brand and more about how I feel robot vacuums in general will work for anyone. The MOOKA robot vacuum does clean the floors, it's quite and feels like a good solid product. If someone wants a robot vacuum this one can do the job. What was I hoping for? A $130 robot vacuum that I put in the corner and other than dumping out the dirt, I don't ever think about and I never have to think about vacuuming the floors again. The technology is not there yet, but if your willing to babysit it, you might be happy. The prep work: move cords, block danger zones, section off where you want it to go, move thin rugs, and other things that might slip under it. That's about it, kick it off and watch it roam. When it's stuck, help it out. I figure it takes a little less work than just cleaning yourself, and I'm sure I will still have to do our Saturday cleaning to get the places it misses. After reading reviews, my feeling it that people with pets that shed, love it because it can keep up on the pet hair everyday and just do your deep cleaning a little less often. For now it's fun to watch...

Nope.
Update: after 4 months it has stopped working. Dropped down to one star because I just wouldn’t buy it. Get a more expensive one that will last. Original review: Having previously owned a rumba I’m comparing this to that. On most fronts except durability (it’s only been about a month) I can say for the price the mooka is worth it. The pick up is good and I have yet to see it have a problem finding it’s base. The navigation seems smart enough although I don’t know that I would trust it near the pool the way I did the roomba as its fallen once into our sunken living room. I’m not sure the circumstances as one of our dogs could have maybe pushed it over? Anyways for more than half the price less I’m very happy with this purchase.

Good if you have no furniture or sunshine.
I bought this after reading excellent reviews and seeing it as one of the top rated robot vacs. It does an OK job. I must follow it through the house because it jams itself under things and keeps digging in deeper and deeper until I almost have to move the furniture to remove it. I have an open concept home with lots of sunshine. If there are shadows, it reads this as a wall or something and will not vacuum across the sun/shade line and simply turns around and goes elsewhere. Most days it will run for almost two hours and get portions of each room in the house. The areas it does not get are typically in the middle of the room. I sweep out corners and along the baseboards as it will not go against a wall but will bang against the furniture repeatedly until stuck or it finally gives up and turns around. Where it does vacuum, it picks up most everything. You do need to empty it after every use. I have brick floors with throw rugs. It moves from floor to rug and back easily but just doesn't cover the whole area. I needed a new vacuum and made the investment thinking it was a great option and I do regret that. It would save me more time and energy just to push a vacuum around the house. I still have to do that anyway once it is done. One other thing, some days it will go for 2 hours. Other days it goes about 20 minutes and then returns to the charging station although it said it was fully charged. I'm sad I couldn't have given it a higher rating.

Excellant vacuum, more than worth the price!
I love this vacuum! I recently bought one for myself and a good friends birthday was coming up that has everything she wants, and I was bragging about how nice this was and she didn't believe how well it worked so I bought her one for her birthday and hand delivered it to her. We had coffee while she tried it out. She was amazed at how much it got up and swore she had just swept! She's a true believer now and says she will never be without her Mooka again! She called me last week wanting to ask me if it was strange to name it, I said no, i call mine "Midget" (no offense intended) she said she wanted to name hers " "Mim" " for my indispensable maid, I said I thought that was clever.

Boy, this little guy goes!!!
We purchased this just for our porch which is tile. We have birds and two dogs and the dust and dog fur can really build up. This little guy does the job! I have started him going and 2 hours later he is still at it. The battery lasts a really long time. I don't think this one would be good for plush carpet but for tile or wood, it's perfect! The price is great too! Very, very happy with this purchase!

pretty dumb robot
so i came back to review after using it for a week, only to find the price dropped by over $70 in a week! fake reviews - only one is a verified purchase. i got swindled. I have a small apartment...1200 sq ft. This thing gets lost between 2 bedrooms and a bathroom and can't recharge on it's own. I have to use the remote control and navigate it. Minus stars for pricing - way too expensive. I paid almost 200, now i see it at 128 after black friday and cyber monday...today is tuesday. this is outrageous. do not spend over $130. Minus stars for brains - this thing is dumb and gets tricked by sunlight on the carpet...i have glass sliding doors and large windows...when the sun shines on the carpet floor the robot think it's running into a wall and doesn't vacuum that area, or it back-tracks around it, acts like it's turning a corner. I know it's the sunlight because when i stood in front of the light, the robot passed the area perfectly. but this defeats the purpose of automation. Minus stars for force - my walls are banged up, and i rent this place. this thing collides with baseboards, dressers, sliding glass doors, couch legs...at full speed. i have chipped paint everywhere...fortunately the robot vacuums it up; like it's clearing away the evidence of its destruction Minus stars for charging / returning to charge: apparently...if i set it to a 'timed clean' it will clean at that time every day, but doesn't return to the charging pad. it'll run until it dies in a random bedroom. only one setting by "manually telling the robot to start working" actually enables the robot to go back to it's charging plate, if it doesn't get lost or confused by daylight. Minus stars for getting stuck - it's amazing how often i come home and find it beeping constantly and stuck between the legs of a chair. my, this is a dumb robot. it gets 1 star because it actually is a vacuum...a vacuum you can't depend on for automating vacuuming, but, if you babysit it while you're watching TV, it'll run for a solid 2 hours. so i like the battery life, and i like that it actually picks up cat hair and food on the floor. but it's sooo dumb. and my poor walls
