Gigi Skort

This mini skort is such a cute piece to have in a wardrobe. I ordered this skort in beige, as black was sold out when I ordered it - khaki/beige isn't my favorite color.... but this is a nice skort. The fabric is thick, it might be too warm for the humid summers we get in this area - but I guess I will see. The thickness makes the skort a bit stiff, so it keeps its shape and bells out when on, as opposed to hang down... The skort overall seems to be true to size (I ordered an 8, which is a little loose on me - and I'm typically a size 6)... It's the usual skort length and the built in shorts preserves your modesty when wearing them.... It is comfortable to wear.... I was disappointed that it didn't have pockets, and that would have been the crowning grace of this skort if it had pockets.... But alas, no pockets so I took off 1 star... Because women need to be able to carry things and it's ridiculous when our clothes don't have pockets. The quality of the finish/thickness of the fabric makes the higher price of this skort reasonable...

This is an absolutely lovely skirt. It fits great and you can tell that it’s made of high quality fabric. It’s extremely versatile and comfortable to wear. This is a closet essential that pairs well with almost any top. I definitely recommend it as a summer must have.

I love skorts. With the look of a skirt and the modesty of shorts, they can be worn with so many different tops and easily go from a day shopping to an evening bar hopping. This Princess Polly skort fits right in with my wardrobe, although it is quite a bit shorter than most skorts I own. Now, I would never wear a skirt this short, but shorts - that's a different story. Even if no one else knows there are shorts underneath, I am comfortable knowing I'm not going to flash anyone. Let everyone else worry about the possibility of a wardrobe malfunction! The craftmanship is good, but the fabric is not what I would call high end. It's pretty lightweight for a skort. There are no pockets which is inconvenient, but might, understandably, be necessary to preserve the smooth lines and tight fit. It has a rear zipper with a hook and eye closure at top. Besides being a little tricky to close a hook and eye behind your back, the way the two pieces have to overlap in order for the hook and eye to come together causes a weird little pucker at the top of the zipper, so I don't bother using it. The material has no stretch to speak of, so you have to be accurate with your measurements when choosing a size. I ordered a 12 according to the chart, and it fits well, but it won't be forgiving if I happen to gain any weight. I have to say that as cute and seemingly well made as it is, it isn't, in my opinion, $49 cute. It has no real design factor that sets it apart from a $30 skort unless you're just really into the brand name. I like it but can't see enthusiastically recommending it at this price.

My daughter is 23 and loves clothes. She’s been shopping at Princess Polly since she was 16. Their clothes are adorable and always fit her well. She rarely needs to return anything, unless the color isn’t quite right. This low-rise black mini skort is really cute, and since it’s a skort, it offers a bit more coverage, which can be helpful at her age. She’s worn it with tall boots and sneakers, and I’m sure she’ll pair it with sandals this summer. It can be dressed up for a night out or worn casually during the day. The quality and medium-weight material allows you to wear it in different seasons.

This is probably my favorite Princess Polly item yet! This is a very nice skirt -- made of great materials, stiff enough to keep its shape, no panty lines through it, nice thick fabric, and fits me perfectly in the waist and hips. The garment is accurate to the photos, in both color and overall look. I'm 5'2 105lb and got this in a size 2. I'm usually a size 2, but Princess Polly can have variable sizing (I'd say trending a bit small). thankfully this fit me true to size. I will say though, the photos of the models show this as a midi or low-rise skirt, and this fit me exactly at my waistline. The style is pretty basic, but basic is basic for a reason -- because it's good! This is an excellent addition for a going out or day out outfit. The color is deep, rich, and accurate to photos. Although it's a bit pricey, I find the comfort, quality, fit, and 100% cotton nature make this worth it to me, so I consider it good value. 5 stars!

This material was really stiff and not comfortable. Additionally, I used the sizing guide for my purchase and it was way too small. I just bought a pair of jeans that fit great and are a 25, so according to the sizing guide I should be a size 2. I could barely slide them on and I couldn’t zip them. And I have chicken legs and no butt. So if you’d rather stay do buy this, size up by AT LEAST one size. It did at least seem to be made well and using quality materials, though.

Really cute short skirt, but this inside shorts are a little baggy, but since they’re just for modesty, I don’t mind, but I had a preferred a spandex type short. Comfortable to wear moves well with a slight stretch to the skirt material overall wash is fine and this works well within my student budget
