Perfect surf rod for the money
Love the rod. Used surf fishing in Hatteras in May. Paired with a Penn battle. No issues whatsoever. May grab another for next year. Tip not too soft like some lesser rods.

Needs better packaging
Worst packaging ever! Surf rod came in a plastic sleeve. No protection over guides! Luckily the rod looks to be OK. But we will have to see when a catch a fish and have the road under load.

Rodsโฆ.awesome. Packaging? Not so much.
These are legit surf rods. Iโm an inshore fisherman so they immediately felt too long and too stiff. But putting a 3oz weight on them made me feel more comfortable. Now packaging. They arrived in plastic bags and the bags had fallen down exposing half of the rods. The eyes and handle were fine, but had minor scratches. I would have paid extra to have them arrive in tubes.

Broken
I really dont know how to start this. I haven't even used the once. Yesterday I was gonna a put a reel on it and the darn this is broken. Im gonna try to reach out for a refund. Didnt think I have this problem with a company as Penn. Fingers crossed.

Excellent quality
Nice quality, perfect for my needs. Paired up with my Penn reel. Nicely made for a 2 piece rod, with the right amount of rigidity yet still sensitive to light strikes. Great steelhead rod, or beach rod for fish under 20 lbs. It would probably land larger species with the right kind of fineness.
