Garden Hose Quick Connect

I was very impressed with the quality of these couplers; nice quality materials, easy to install, and best yet .. no leaks! I have an irrigation timer attached to my back faucet; the irrigation timer is typically attached to a hose leading to five Earth Boxes we grow herbs and vegetables in. But on occasion, I needed to disconnect that hose from the timer. Rather than having to unscrew the hose each time I needed to disconnect it, I opted to try using these couplers. So far, these have worked perfectly!

I've bought around 20 of these, so I decided it's time to leave a review. These fittings are weighty, sturdy, and feel high quality. Installation is a breeze (please use Teflon/Plumbers Tape). The male end will go on the end of your hose, and the female ends will go on your attachments. Simply pull the sliding sleeve back and it will release. Literally every hose connection on my property has been converted to these quick connects. They are so useful, fast, and easy to use that is has actually changed the way I use my hoses. Below are a few wonderful improvements to my hose game: 1) I now never hesitate to disconnect my hoses from the spigot when temps get low. Takes less than a second per hose, no tools required. Saves your hoses, spray nozzles, and your spigots from freeze damage! 2) I use wheeled hose carts, and the connection from the spigot to the cart can rotate during use. These fittings allow free rotation within the connection, eliminating the eventual loosening of that and any other connection. 3) Once you get good at connecting and disconnecting, you don't have to turn off the water before doing either. I can, for example, disconnect my sprayer from my hose while the spigot is on full blast if I want to change to a different connection, or just use it full flow. I can also re-connect my sprayer nozzle so quickly that I don't get sprayed with water all over. Eliminates trips back and forth from the spigot. 4) I use 25' hoses, but I can quickly and easily daisy-chain my two hose carts together to get a 50' hose situation going if I need it. 5) I believe these fittings will save my spigots from corrosion damage. The fittings allow all the water to drain when disconnected, and even if these brass fittings somehow get corrosion anyway, it isn't a huge problem since you don't have to use threads to connect/disconnect from the spigot. I havn't tried any other brands/styles of quick connect fittings, so I can't say if these are the best quick connect fittings out there. I can say that the only problem I've ever had with these is that while under high pressure, if you flex the joint a lot, water may spray out from the connection, but you really have to try.

9/3/25 Initial Review: I now regret waiting so long to buy these QR adapters. One leaked like hell but stopped after I added another rubber washer. Now, they all work like a charm and are able to withstand the added pressure on the hose gratis my pressure washer. No regrets not upgrading to the stainless option, as their build quality is top notch. The QR functionality is easy to use, too. Should my positive impression change, I’ll circle back with my findings. Otherwise, no regrets using them.

The HQMPC Garden Hose Quick Connect set was extremely easy to install. I just needed to push the connectors on and they locked into place without any hassle. The solid brass construction not only feels durable but also gives a clean, polished look that makes the setup look far more premium than standard hose fittings. After several uses, I’ve had zero issues with leaks, and the seal has stayed tight even after multiple connect and disconnect cycles. Overall, this set combines effortless installation, a high-end appearance, and reliable leak-free performance, making it a worthwhile upgrade for anyone tired of dealing with cheap or leaky connectors.

These are solid brass and excellent quality construction, and they perform as advertised, no leaking. Easy to insert and remove your "tool" from the hose. I got tired of unscrewing the watering nozzle to use my hose-end insecticide sprayer, so I got these for all of my garden hoses and attachments. My only complaint, and my reason for giving these 4 stars instead of 5, is that the slider/disconnect slider "ring" is on the male threaded part of the assembly, which means that it is the part that attaches to your nozzle, sprayer, pressure washer, etc. This is not a deal killer, but I'm used to quick connections on air hoses where the slider ring is on the hose side. This makes it easy to grab the hose with one hand, pull the slider ring back with your thumb and index finger, and insert a tool with the other hand. It's just a natural and logical workflow, and is the convention on every single air hose quick connect. It certainly is usable and functional having the disconnect ring on the tool side, but the process is just a bit more cumbersome. It's more awkward to grab the tool and pull the slider ring back because the tool generally has more thickness, perhaps a trigger or other things that can impede a one-hand grab like you can with a hose. Again, not a big deal, everything works, but it just goes against what is conventional in quick connectors.

The best couplers I’ve ever used. I’ve since replaced all the plastic versions and the metal ones from The Home Depot that were quite inferior and difficult to uncouple. Now I attach and separate hoses, sprinklers, watering lines and timers without a drop of water leakage. I’ve reordered more and more.

Good quality and last for a long time. I need to spray some WD-40 and works like new again after 5 years.

This hose quick connect works exactly as it should. It's quick and easy. No more stooping, squating and bending while fighting a threaded fitting thats hard to lighn up. this quick connect is easy on and easy off, and no leaks!

These are nicely made connectors that fit together (and to the "orange and grey" nylon make) very well. One thing I never considered or asked about before ordering them is that the female (slip sleeve part) connector does NOT have a water flow shut-off so you if you disconnect your watering nozzle or sprinkler etc with the faucet on you're going to get wet. Otherwise, 5 stars for the product itself!

C'est très pratique d'utiliser des raccords rapides pour tuyaux d'arrosage, mais faut-il qu'ils soient de bonnes qualité et conçus avec des matériaux solides et durables. Combien de fois j'ai dû renouveler mes raccords parce brisaient, s'usaient ou que les rondelles s'éventent s'éventent peu de temps après les achats et les fuites d'eau apparaissent soudainement et c'est très enrageant lorsqu'il s'agit de réunir le boyau au fusil d'arrosage, l'eau nous coule dans la main et comme c'est agaçant. J'ai fait l'essai pour interchanger un mâle et une femelle et c'est très facile, j'ai aussi mixé une de ces parties métalliques et une autre ancienne en plastique, le changement se fait très bien, je ne peux voir pour le moment si le joint est bien étanche, je pourrai le voir au printemps 2022. J'y reviendrai.

Solid and well made. But stiff and requires a little extra effort to connect and unconnect.
