No, the G840 is about the size of an old desk calendar. Can hold a keyboard, mouse, trackpad, coffee coaster, and a few other devices at the same time without any trouble.

I recently washed mine in the bathtub with some Dawn dish soap and a soft bristled toothbrush to really scrub the surface. I had some kind of buildup in one spot where my mouse cursor would noticeably slow down when I moved my mouse over that spot. A quick scrub and letting it dry for about half a day and the whole thing looks like it just came out of the packaging, with no drag in that spot anymore. Just make sure to really rinse it out as I might have a bit of soap residue at the very bottom, but nothing another quick rinse or scrubbing with no added soap wouldn't handle.

how does it compare to the steelseries qck xxl?

Ive been using the qck plus for around two yea and had no problems switching to this, Im not someone that knows everything about mousepads but it feels very similar to me.
