Revo SuperCD - Walnut/Silver

Sound is exceptional. Tight bass, not booming like Bose SoundWave. I like my Bose, but the Revo is really clean in comparison. Built in telescopic antennae picks up stations clearly, where my Bose has static. Set up was fast and easy. I like that there are knobs and buttons on the device, the Bose has only remote control. Not super loud but definitely loud enough; similar to Bose.

Be carefull, this is the CD-Version and there is no need to buy it, because the CD-option will let your Revo-Super-CD crash as soon as you wake it up in the morning from CD-Mode. This bug came on the 2021/22 models and nobody seems to care about it. There are no updates anyway. So what happens: If you play a CD in the evening and then turn the radio off (Power button) and go to bed, on the next morning you push the power button to turn it on its still in CD-Mode. Thats fine. But now you want to hear some internet radio, so you hit the MODE button, and immediately the radio will crash and restart. This takes about 30 seconds to boot again. Then its again in CD-Mode..you push MODE again, and this time it switches correct to Internet rAdio, but it will also "RECONNECT TO WIFI" in that moment. It clearly is a software bug in the wifi module, does not hold the connection, crashes because of the lost connection. But nobody at the factory in Germany cares about that software bug. Too bad. Software is indeed horrible, there are never any updates, and it has 14 different MODES, to change in between MODES you need to hit the button like 13 times if you want to switch from INTERNET RADIO back to CD Mode....have you ever been hitting a button 13 times?

They just changed their back-end server and now you can't add custom URLs. This turned by great bedside radio into a useless brick. They don't even support common American services like Live365, TuneIn, and Napster. Stay away. This one has jumped the shark.

A quality unit great sound and great build quality - I was looking for something stylish with top sound and features that would last me for years to come and this unit ticked all the boxes. I looked at RUARK units but this REVO was better in every department. It's easy to set up and has plenty of presets for the radio - you get ten presets for each radio format, FM, DAB and Internet Radio. I'm really happy with the sound which is clear, with excellent treble and controlled bass sound. CDs sound wonderful. I was fed up with separates with wires all over the place so if you want an all-in-one with comparable quality sound I'd recommend this as the best in class.

Produktqualität mies, Geräte werden zu teuer verramscht als B-Ware Habe mir ein Gerät vom Händler Teleropa schicken lassen. Nicht über Amazon, sondern vom Handel direkt. Ausgepreist als B-Ware mit viel Nachlass. Das Gerät hat einen guten klaren Klang und lässt sich prima bedienen. Leider war das Bluetooth Modul defekt. Das Gerät wurde anstandslos von Teleropa zurückgenommen. Begeistert vom Klang das nächste Gerät zum Normalpreis bei Amazon bestellt. Dieses Gerät war nicht vollständig montiert und hatte lose Teile im Innern. Die Blende des CD-Schachts war nicht befestigt. Ohne das Gerät zu öffnen wäre das Problem nicht zu lösen gewesen, also beanstandet. Das Ersatzgerät gab erst gar keinen Mucks von sich. Es ließ sich nicht einschalten. Allerdings kam das Gerät in einem Karton mit Aufschriften des Lieferanten an Amazon: Teleropa, der Händler von dem ich mein erstes Gerät als B-Ware gekauft hatte. Es liegt also nahe, dass Amazon defekte B-Ware verkauft. Mein nächster Versuch wird mich ins örtliche Hifi-Geschäft führen.

The unit was returned due to defective bluetooth, it would not pair with any device and amazon dealt with this quickly. The Revo was quite compact, much narrower than many comparable systems and did appear nicely built. The sound quality was relatively good, with the equalizer settings adjusted. Due to the device being faulty, I then purchased a Roberts Stream 67 for a similar price. It is not quite as compact as the Revo, however the sound quality is significantly better with much more depth.

Excellent sound and the unit is well made. However, two and a half years after purchase a problem has occurred with the CD player (which is the main reason I bought it). A disc which had played several times will not eject and despite numerous attempt I have been unable to retrieve it. After disconnecting the unit starts up with the ‘no disc’ display and if you press the eject button it changes to ‘loading’ which remains until disconnected. Unfortunately the company has moved from the UK (another reason I bought it) to Germany. I have emailed them but at the time of going to press have heard nothing - so now I’m looking for a repair shop. In fairness all the other features work fine - but I need the CD player to work. Please do not get me wrong, until this fault occurred I was delighted with the unit - but if I have to replace it I’d probably seek another make.
