Instructions for assembling were very clear and easy to follow. I spent about 2-3 hours by myself putting this together with ease. Very smooth process and the end result is gorgeous. It's perfect for what I wanted and we needed in our kitchen. The extendable table part is amazing, especially for when we have our get togethers. Overall 5 stars but really disappointed in the power cables length. The length is approximately 6ft but 3 ft of it has to be fed under part of the countertop which leaves you with 3 ft to your plug in. Would love to see a 10ft power cable that way it could be router down to the floor, tapped down, and then plugged into the wall. Other than that absolutely love it. Quality is great

I absolutely love this! There is plenty of space to organize items in your kitchen. The pull out table absolutely amazing!

Update: After a few months of use, I tried moving the Merax Kitchen Island just a few feet—and the island completely fell apart. The materials couldn’t hold up to even light relocation, and pieces literally separated at the joints. This thing is not built to last or be moved once assembled. Original review still stands for usability when stationary, but if you’re expecting to move this island at all (even within the same room), don’t buy it. It’s not worth the frustration or risk of it collapsing on you. Orginal: Pros: Great Functionality – The extendable table feature is a big plus. It comfortably seats 4–6 and adds useful counter space in a small kitchen. Built-in Charging Station – The plug-ins work as expected and make this island even more convenient for multitasking or charging devices while cooking. Useful Storage – The drawers and shelves provide decent storage. The drawers are shallow (as others have pointed out), but it makes sense when you see how the table retracts. Cons: Assembly Isn’t Fun – Like most flat-pack furniture, it’s time-consuming to assemble. Expect a bit of a project. Warping Over Time – After daily use with the island fully extended, I’ve started to notice some bowing in the extension portion. Something to keep in mind if you plan to leave it open often. Shipping Condition – The box arrived in rough shape, and while the damage to the product itself was limited, there were a few noticeable scuffs. Overall, this is a versatile piece for the price. It has its imperfections, but if you're looking for a multi-functional kitchen island with dining space and storage, it gets the job done.

The design behind this is wonderful but the quality is cheap. The particle board is poor quality. The veneer was applied poorly and is already peeling up. With the cost, I was hoping the quality would be a bit better. I am using this as a craft/sewing table. I love that the table can extend out and the outlet extension is great! I hope it will at least hold up a couple years as I love the design and put a lot of thought into picking out what would be best for my craft room.
