Does this have a nylon bristles?

My toothbrush is coarser than this brush , the bristles are very very short my hair brush would do a better job

Would this damage a microfiber couch?

Personally, I wouldn't use it on microfiber, as it may damage the fabric.

Will this scratch ceramic tiles?

I haven't notice any scratches. It has strong bristles but not that strong to scratch.

I need a brush for a bathtub that was recently refinished - it must be scratch resistant and soft nylon so as not to harm the finish - will this work?

Yes the brush is pretty scratch resistant, but more importantly, it is amazing in quality. Perhaps if the you use some dish soap or vinegar on the brush you can make it even softer: though I'm guessing it's scratch resistant now.
