Unisex's PC-L01 Seatpost Clamp Ring

Some seat post clamps are so expensive that you can't help but imagine that they'll do something other than secure your seat at the desired level while you're riding. I don't know what else I'd want my seat post clamp to do, but, if I spent the kind of money that some are asking, I'd certainly want something more entertaining than just "clamping" out of it. This seat post clamp is sturdy, strong, and remarkably lightweight. It performs its intended function very well, and the shape of the release/locking lever makes it easy to adjust or remove/replace your seat post without using any tools. I need this because my bike rack hangs the bikes such that my seat is in contact with my wife's handlebars, and hers with mine. I remove the seats when travelling with the bikes, just to avoid any unnecessary wear and tear. This clamp makes it easy to remove and replace the seat, at any time. Great product at a great price.

bought this as a replacement for my Mountain bike, which receives a lot of abuse. My gripe with most seatpost clamps is the lever, especially if they are plastic. This clamp is metal so you won't have to worry about the lever braking when you need it most. The only downside is the plastic ring that the lever tightens against. If you have to really clamp down on your seatpost it will begin to destroy the little plastic piece, which I just threw away and used a washer.

This thing works, but it's definitely not the best. It has a nice lever, but the other side is funky. It comes loose if you are constantly changing your seat height. Since most of the other ones are ridiculously overpriced, this is a good one for the money.

This clamp is well made. Light,strong,easy to use, nicely manufactured. It has an adjusting nut that is rubber covered making it easy to grip and turn. Clamp costs much less than another I use that is not rubber covered. I've only used this for a month so time will tell, but so far so good. Like I said, it costs 1/8 of some others and seems to work fine.

This is not a smooth cnc aluminum finish, more of a cheap pebble finish like pressed aluminium. When tightened, the lever does not lay close to the clamp, it sticks out too much making it possible to get snagged. The 3 other bikes in my home that have quick seat clamps are all smooth aluminum and levers close pretty close to the body if tge clamp.. I would stay away from this, waste of money. Need to find something else...

Works ok, but the materil felt like plastic and not fine polish on surface. The XLC print ink on part look terrible that I rather just have it plain.

I use this clamp on my Trek X-Cal. It is effective in easily locking my seatpost in place. After watching a video of a mountain biker hanging his bike in the crotch of a tree by simply loosening his seat clamp and turning the seat to use it as a hook so that he could "hang" the bike while he changed a rear tire, I had to have a quick-release clamp. Nice and sturdy seat clamp! Gets the job done with no problems. Weighs quite a bit, but i am not a professional cyclist so adding 50g to my bike isn't going to effect me!
