I like that you can remove the silicon part and wash it throughly, enough bristles to give you an evenly distribution. Very functional and very good quality. It is thick but at the same comfortable at hand. Nice size. Very easy to use and it is value for money since it feels quality, so I won't be replacing as often

We use this to spread coconut oil on our cast iron belgium waffle pan. It does a great job collecting and spreading the oil around the pan without a lot of mess, much better than any spray oil does. The head is easily washed out with hot soapy water after removing it from the handle, and the handle itself is amply long for working near very hot cast iron surfaces without getting burned. This will be my go-to basting brush for cooking with oils the next time I need to purchase a replacement or an additional brush to keep on hand.

This silicone brush is heat resistant, and has a solid wooden handle. It feels comfortable to hold / use. It's just wide enough for basting grilled meat, or wiping fond from the side of a cooking pan, back into the cooking liquid (to add flavor to you cook. Fond is flavor!). The bristles are multi-layered, so the brush is very efficient. It holds sauce well, and allows you to get the job done, of saucing your grilled meat quickly. It also quickly removed fond from the side of a simmering pan quickly, adding the flavor back into your dish, with less effort. No more annoying animal hair, or nylon bristles, falling out of your basting brush, into your food, either! This brush is well worth the purchase! Le Creuset is a quality name you can trust. I highly recommend this brush!

The negative reviews on this seem focused on the wood handle getting dry and splitty. I love this handle! But anything made of wood that's put into the dishwasher will dry out and get splitty. Don't do that to it. The head on this baster is built to come off for dishwasher, and when done, it goes back on the handle just fine. (This would not necessarily be obvious.) One of the things I love about this handle is that it's a really good 3/4" muddler! Its end is smooth and ever so barely-slightly convexed (just a teense, many would call it flat). This is not a small basting brush. 2" wide and at the center, almost 1" thick. However I tried it with dabbing oil onto crushed panko breading on chicken tenders just immediately prior to putting into Air Fryer, and it does a great job. I also use Better 'n Boullion paste for stocks which is hard to dissolve in cold water (which I want to be able to use) and this basting brush made a super effective "whisk" for that. Love this tool! For me, it's a definite keeper with hidden multi-taskies. ;-)

Solid pastry brush. No issues, easy to clean, easy to use.

I recently bought a Le Creuset grill pan and purchased this product to brush oil onto the hot grill. It works beautifully. Clean up is easy too- after using immediately put the brush under hot running water for a minute or two. Then put dish soap directly on the bristles and rinse until all the soap washes out. Great product and easy cleanup!

Ottimo pennello in silicone e resistentissimo alle altre temperature. Usato addirittura per ungere con olio piastra in ghisa su fornello acceso. Temperatura altissima ed ha resistito benissimo.
