Does it have the name of the rocks underneath them and if so is it easy to read?

Yes names of rocks underneath each. Print is about the size of print from a book. Small, but definitely readable. Much clearer than the pic shows. I don't hav e very good eye sight, but I see the letters clearly. Hope that helps.

Were the posters sold in the past different than the one currently being sold? The current one has horrible resolution, looks like a poor photograph.

No, the poster is high resolution and beautifully printed. Unless you have been sold a "bootleg". If in fact you have been sold a bootleg copy you should complain to Amazon as they take this very seriously. Also, you should return the product to the seller.

are the minerals real ?

The poster is pictures of real minerals
