When the easel is folded down how sturdy is it? For example while my daughter is drawing and places some pressure will it hold up?

Yes, I got this for my 3 yr old last year and it held up great. She was able to color on the desk top. It is very sturdy. It is still in great shape a year later.

How old is suitable to use this? Up to 6-7 years old?

Bought when my son was 18mo. He is now 7.5 and still uses it weekly. We now have a 1yr old that will be able to take over when the oldest is ready to let go. It even survived an overseas move. I've even hosed it down for cleaning after we had a party and it got painted. It looking brand new! Btw, my 12yo niece has used it as well when she stays over (not extremely comfortable but she uses it regardless)

Is the stool sturdy enough? I am skeptical since its not a chair with back support kid can fall back?

Stool is small and sturdy enough for average size 2 and 3 year old. Their feet hit the ground when sitting on it so it would be hard to fall off.
