I'm using this regulator on a pulse arc welder and need a very low flow rate of argon. This works very well and does exactly what I need it to do, at a very low price. Thanks!

Perfect, Exactly what I needed for my welders Arrived very well packaged, and in perfect condition. Work's with both my big 220 machine and the little one. Have a quick connect to change the bottle from one to the other as needed

Gas fitting is non standard. Tough to get tubing on and regular fitting wont work. Measurement and gage are ok.

I would have given it a 5 Star rating, but because of the incorrect hose connecting (you have to make up your own connection by cutting one fitting from a regular "regulator gas hose" off and force the way to small hose onto the provided hose barb). This is already my second regulator (one for Argon, one for CO2), and I bought them because they can go down to 0 ltr. Most regulator can only go down to a min. of 5 ltr. Now to all of you "Wanna be a welder" review trashers, before you go and buy any welding supply, visit the YouTube channels and look for "What to buy...., how to adjust... and how to weld" videos. Just because you saw once an oxy-gas regulator and this one looks different, does it give you the right to tell everybody that this regulator is garbage. Regulators for burning and flame assistant gases: Burning Gas (acetylene) and flame assistant gases (oxygen) need regulators which adjust pressure, more pressure = more heat, more heat = thicker material. Regulators for shielding gases (like this one): Argon, CO2, Nitrogen, Helium and many more (look them up) are non burning shielding gases. Like the word shielding gas says, they protect the the weld from the surrounding regular air which weakens the weld. The wrong pressure (to high) would blow your molted puddle away and could cause the next workshop fire. Shielding a weld is only possible with low pressure and volume, small welds with thin wire use less gas than wide welds, 3 /4' wide or super wide welds +2" with heavy duty wire. How to adjust this type of regulator: In my case I use 0.35 high quality wire and make only 1/4"-5/16" wide welds, I started @ 7 ltr and dialed it slowly down (with several test welds) until I was still satisfied with the outlook of my weld, I'm now @3-4 ltr., which saves me a lot of gas money (in my car and for my bottle). You might need a little bit more gas if you use the cheap low quality wires from big box stores. This regulator has a fixed setting (low) for pressure, the gauge shows only what's left in the bottle and if you don't understand metric, who cares, then the numbers are international (0= empty and end of green line 15= full). The big hex-head adjustment knob should not be touched (it's fixed and secured). I actually recommend that the seller removes the remark that this is a "gas adjustment". The left side shows the "Flow gauge" and the "flow adjustment knob" which should be in the off position if you connect the regulator to the bottle. How to adjust: A lot of people would still say it doesn't even after the opened the adjusting knob, because the steel ball inside the flow gauge doesn't move up, that's because you are not welding, the ball will only move if you push the trigger from your welding gun, the gas needs to flow to show the quantity. Loosen the pressure wheel from the wire feed inside your welder (lift it up), turn on your welder and push the trigger, no wire should come out off your gun, but you should hear the gas flowing. Adjust the flow control knob to your desired amount, turn off the welder and secure the pressure wheel on your wire feed, turn the welder on. Now make several test welds (at least 1.5" long) on clean rust free material and fine adjust your flow. After you are done with welding, close the bottle, no need to dial the flow meter down to zero. Note to seller: Try to include an adapter to connect a 5/8" UNF-18RH regulator gas hose and you have a professional 5 Star regulator.

I really like the regulator. The hose barb wasn't what I wanted to use, so if you remove the hose barb fitting you have a 12mm x 1.0 threaded fitting. I purchased a 12mm x 1.0 to 1/8" NPT threaded adapter and used that instead and really like having a flow meter built in. To find the adapter I ordered Google "PP-BA-246 adapter". Other than the hose fitting being an odd size I really like the excellent price as well as the flow meter. I double checked the flow meter with another flow meter and they matched closely. I hope they add the fitting size to the description in case somebody else wants to do the same as I did. The other units that are in the same design style as this were a lot more money.

I will return it... this regulator has NO pressure adjustment as labeled in the main picture... where most regulators have a threaded T handle or screw, this regulator has a sticker that says Argon. This regulator does not thread into Carbon diode tanks as the seller intentionally misstated in his description. The quality is so bad that the chrome was peaking before the manufacturer packaged it for sale.
