Charcoal Toothpaste Whitening, SLS Free, Tongue Cleaner & Toothbrush Included, Mint, Removes Coffee Stains from Teeth, 4oz

This was my first time using actvated charcoal as a toothpaste. My initial thought was it may taste bad and be gritty. But this was not the case. The taste was actually nice. A light minty flavor. However, in my option it could use a bit more mint flavoring. But by no means is it nasty. There is absolutely no grit. It's a smooth toothpaste that covers nicely. The toothpaste is actually very long lasting. Even later in the day, around 4pm, my mouth still feels clean from brushing at 8 that morning. Even after eating, when I rub my teeth with my tongue, my teeth feel smooth. Unlike before when i used traditional toothpaste. (Normal Colgate) After 3 days of use I have noticed my teeth had become a bit whiter. Which is a nice bonus. I really bought the toothpaste for its lack of harmful chemicals. The "free" toothbrush it comes with was nice as well. However I don't see how it's any different from any other toothbrush. Other than the black bristles. It's actually very soft. I prefer a more medium grade. The only downside is it didn't come with the tongue scraper. It's free but come on.

I really like this product. I've been using it twice a day for about a week and there is no doubt that it removes stains. My wife has noticed the difference too. I don't expect to see bleached white from this toothpaste but am pleased with it's performance in removing stains. Yes, the toothpaste is black but in your mouth it becomes a very pleasant tasting, minty, gray, foam. It does not feel gritty and leaves your mouth feeling fresh and clean. Teeth feel really clean like they've been brushed with an electric toothbrush, after brushing. Also, you don't need to load your toothbrush to benefit from using this product. I've just been using a (large) pea-sized dollop when I brush and it appears to be quite adequate, since it's working. Update 7/14/2017: I've been using this toothpaste for approximately one month, brushing twice a day. My teeth are whiter than I have seen them in years. 55 years of tobacco and coffee stains almost completely gone now. Still have a little more than half the tube left but I just ordered another tube because I intend to keep this stuff on hand from now on. Great Product!

Ive been using this for a couple weeks now and I like it a lot. So does my girlfriend. My teeth are noticeably shinier and I think it may be helping with making them more white. I took a star off because they sent me the wrong flavor which was disappointing. They included a travel size one of the correct flavor so it made me think that maybe they were out of it in the big tube so they chose a random flavor (peach) and included the travel size as a sorry. Surprisingly the peach isnt bad. Still wish I had mint. Either way I will be ordering again. I know charcoal toothpaste is good and I like it and believe its helping my teeth. Now that I think about it my gums arent bothering me as much either. Will buy again, just hope I get the right flavor.

I must admit, I can be a bargain shopper at times. This toothpaste was my first experience with activated charcoal teeth whitening and it was a very good one -- great taste, great texture, and great results, so I figured I would be able to find something just as good for a little less. I did not venture away for long, before I came right back here. The other toothpaste I purchased was gray, instead of black, and did not taste nearly as good, but the worse part of my experiment with a cheaper price was the container -- it was like squeezing toothpaste from a Coppertone bottle. Let me tell you, this toothpaste is nothing like that -- it comes in a real toothpaste tube, is black as coal, and tastes great. I can really tell the difference, so this will be my toothpaste of choice, as long as they continue to maintain this level of quality. I remember a sign in my hometown pharmacy, when I was growing up. "The bitterness of a poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of a cheap price." Buy with confidence.

I didn’t really notice my teeth becoming whiter but the brush and the tongue cleaner were decent. The toothpaste was a bit sugary and hurt my teeth.

I've only been using this toothpaste for a week or so. But so far, I have truly seen results. I am skeptical by nature and this product was no exception. I was searching a whitening product. I have really bad stains on my upper teeth from coffee, tea, or cigarettes. I have quit smoking and have cut back on the other two so I decided it was time to see if I could get my teeth to look better. I came across this charcoal paste with coconut. I read over the descriptions but the most important thing for me to do when searching out a product is to read the reviews. So I set out to do this. There were very few negative reviews which was a positive on the side of the Pros. The more I read, the more I decided that I should try it. So, I ordered and began using it the moment I received it in. I've used the product on every day. I fill the brush up with the paste and brush for up to 5minutes. I am totally surprised that I have seen results. Have the stains faded or gone away? They have just begun to fade/become lighter. The rest of the teeth have become brighter. I have been telling my family members and friends about it since I have gotten good results. Also, the taste is really good and minty. It's rather mild so as not to be overwhelming. The toothpaste is black and it will potentially stain whatever it comes in contact with. I am constantly rinsing the bathroom sink and anything that the paste lands on. I admit that, in the beginning, see myself in the mirror with a black mouth and teeth was a unnerving but with the results, that's not a problem at all. I really recommend. I am going to be using them from hear on. One last thing, the paste doesn't have any cavity or tartar control so you have to use another toothpaste to get those attributes. I love it!!!

Screw chemical filled toothpaste, right? I feel like I got over the Crest, Colgate, Aquafresh thing years ago when I switched to Tom’s all-natural toothpaste. BUT to be dead honest, Tom’s wasn’t really keeping my teeth the whitest of white. So after reading some of your charcoal recommendations I figured I’d have to be the guinea pig & see how the whole charcoal toothpaste thing went. Ready for the details? Basically charcoal toothpaste is “a great, natural alternative for your entire family to promote healthy teeth & gums without toxic ( nasty ) ingredients. It contains no synthetic additives, preservatives, foaming agents, fluoride, artificial colors or flavors, & no abrasive baking soda or salt. It’s uniquely formulated to clean and safely polish teeth, improve gum health and freshen breath.” The one I like contains “no sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), no artificial colors, no artificial sweeteners (such as saccharine), and no fluoride. It will greatly clean your teeth and help to remove stains on the teeth ( especially stains derived from drinking coffee ). Further research I’ve done on this showed that activated charcoal can actually be helpful in changing the pH and health of the mouth, and as such is effective in preventing cavities and killing the bad bacteria present in tooth decay and gingivitis. For this reason, I now suggest and use it as part of my remineralizing protocol for teeth, along with my remineralizing toothpaste. review by lauryn
