The best for polishing!!
We use this in a 3 step restoration (along with models 5733 & 5725 & the 3 rubbing compounds) of headlights and whole vehicles and love it. Definitely a must have for polishing!! If taken care of, they'll last you a good amount of time!!

Experience advice
If your reading this, people are complaining about hair or fibers coming off the pad. I've been doing this 15 years, what good new virgin wool pad doesn't needs sperd 1st? That's what you want. A thick brand new pad that sheds. Then you can add water and sper Abita, plus once there is product on it , it will stop shedding. Thin wool pads cause damage. The list if people not knowing what a good pad is goes on for miles.. this is high quality

Great pad! Buy two for large projects
I was recommended this product by a professional boat detailer and it was spot on. I used this product for polishing my boat with 3M Finesse-It, worked like a charm. I have a 30ft blue hull boat and would recommend one pad per side if your unable to clean in between uses. Wash per the instructions to guarantee future use.

Nice
Like some said, it does through off lint fibers at first. My only reason for giving 4 stars. Once used a bit I believe that issue will correct itself. Comes in a ziploc bag to use for storage so that is nice.

Excellent polishing pad!
I am happy with the high quality and durability of this pad. It is also very soft and works very well with the cutting creme I am using. Fash shipping and well packaged.

Works better than foam pads on fiberglass
I think I said it all in the title. The foam seems to work OK on car clear coat, but fiberglass seems to respond better with these wool pads. I apply wax on both clear coat and fiberglass with a foam pad and that seems fine.

The clue gave up and came apart from the wool pad. I use it for 10 minute. I expected a lot more from 3m

Not for random orbit
Sadly the hook and loop has detached after less than an hour's use. Used with a new random orbit for polishing wood. May work better on non random orbit built up a lot of heat on the pad in short time and bonding failed.

Man sollte es vor Gebrauch einmal ausspülen, sonst staubt und fusselt es sehr. Aber ansonsten sehr zu empfehlen.
