Smartwool Men's Run Targeted Cushion Mid Crew Socks

Love these socks, have been a big fan of smartwool for hiking and the like, and discovered these. I'm an ultra trail runner and use these all the time on long runs. Never have issues with these for blisters, even when feet are wet from sweat, rain etc. They're very comfortable and don't get too hot in the summer. Well worth the money and the quality is top notch. For my feet, the fit is perfect based on their size charts. Wear a shoe size 44 (EU), 10.5-11 US and the L size fit me perfect.

A friend of mine insisted I try these out for my running, so I had to pick up a pair to see, and will say they do live up to the hype! The socks are very well made, feeling very premium and well made. I've tried out a number of socks in my running from different brands, and I think for the most part, everyone needs to find what "works for them" and will say these work very well for me. I didn't have any issues with the socks slipping, any blisters, or any weird wear issues or anything, and in taking these along on some longer runs, they've held up very nicely. My friend specifically called out that while they are expensive, they do last and are worth it, and I'd agree. I won't take a star away from these over price, but they certainly are a little pricey compared to most socks I run with. I've enjoyed running with these, but not confident I'd be up for replacing all of my socks with these going forward due to the price. Just something to consider, but it's probably up to your own budget and what you're looking for. Overall, would say they do live up to the hype, and would recommend with the warning that there are cheaper socks out there that may work just as well, but to find what works for you and what you like.

Comfortable and warm socks to run in

I love my SmartWool socks! My foot is USA size 11 with a normal width and the large fit very comfortably. They wash up nicely and hold their shape. I like the targeted cushion over the ball of my foot in my heel.

Socks are all personal feel, but the targeted cushion in these felt better than a couple other brands I tried. I like the mid height for trail runs where you might kick up some extra stuff or get your ankles scratched. Only had a few runs below freezing, but they kept my feet warm in the 20 degree F range. Put close to 200 miles in these and they still feel great and have cut down the blisters and smell compared to the generic workout socks I was using

These socks are a little shorter than the crew length, very nicely made and contain enough merino wool to be used in the heat of the summer or during colder days. I have thicker and longer socks for hiking and for colder weather, but these are good for walking or even everyday use in light (zero-drop) sports shoes.

Fit great, very comfortable. I use them for light hiking and gym.
