Not for the feint of heart
If you really want to take on doing this yourself, use this adhesive! It was my third attempt and it worked. Other attempts with other adhesives did not, but I cannot necessarily blame the adhesive. Technique is critical. The first was double-sided tape ... I can confidently warn against that one. Instant gratification is rarely lasting. Two bits of advice: 1) clean the windshield glass and the face of the mirror mounting block with acetone after scraping off ANY residue; 2) use a samarium-cobalt magnet on the outside of the windshield to hold the mounting block in place until the adhesive cures. Trust me on this! The photo: s-c magnet holding the block in place as the adhesive sets overnight. The plastic sheet is to keep the magnet from scratching the glass. Adhesive still holding after six months!

Junk.
Junk. It Would not harden. Threw it in the trash and went to an auto parts store and bought a different brand that worked great.

This works! Just follow the instructions and you're golden
Works good. Follow the instructions. Make sure to apply the glue when it’s not hot outside. I did mine late afternoon, no sun, cool temperature. It was easy to apply. Left it alone for 24 hours just for good extra measure to set. Instructions say u just need 1 hr for the glue to set. I just went the extra mile waiting 24 hrs. Then was able to put back everything on the next day, like my phone extension holder that is clamped to the mirror and other stuff. This works. Follow the instructions. Another thing I did was watch YouTube tutorials before hand too.

Sticks in hot weather.
I have two older trucks and I needed to install my rearview mirror on my windshield on both. Originally I bought some rearview mirror button and glue from Walmart ( I can't remember the brand name). So when it got really hot and my trucks were in the sun the mirrors fell off the windshield. Button and all. I saw this JB Weld mirror weld and thought I would try it. So far the mirrors have not fallen off. I just cleaned the area where I was going to glue with some acetone prior. I have had some pretty hot days and it's still sticking. I'll be using this again if I ever need to glue another mirror on my windshield.

Not for Metal to Glass
I bought this to adhere my truck rearview mirror, metal to the windshield. It did not work at all. I paid $20 at my local glass installation place, and it stuck immediately, no need to wait to move it.

Works as advertised. Saved many $$ by DIY.
Worked as advertised. Make sure to remove old glue from glass and metal plate. Fine grit sandpaper is good if hard to remove. I recommend a final clean of both surfaces with isopropyl alcohol. When dry, wipe both surfaces with the supplied activator towelette a few times. Make sure all surfaces are well covered, as without the activator liquid the Adhesive glue will not bond. Let it dry. Apply 1 drop of glue in centre ( i added an extra 1/2 drop about 1cm apart to ensure coverage of larger part of button). Do not use an excessive amount of glue. Checking correct orientation of "button" press and hold the button on the windscreen for 2 mins. I waited 3 min for good measure. Although it is good to go after 1 hr, I waited 24hrs to achieve maximum cure time before attaching the mirror to the button. Good to go!!

Didn't work for me.
Used according to instructions and there was no adhesion at all during/after the set up time. Tried using to re-attach the mirror in a BMW i3, the button is fairly large (3cm diameter disc) and mounts onto a curved black portion of the windscreen so might not have been enough surface contact. Surfaces were cleaned with a new knife blade and brake cleaner, instructions were followed and after 5 minutes of holding the only adhesion seemed to be from surface tension and the resin seemed to still be completely liquid. Cleaned it all of and looking for something else now. Disappointed in the product. Not sure why it didn't work for me but there we go.
