Compression Packing Cubes, Lightweight Travel Essentials

This was my first time using compression cubes. I was skeptical about the compression as the compression comes from the sides not like a vacuum vacuum compression, but it is a good compression that helps give you inches and keep your clothes organized. I was able to pack two weeks worth of clothes in the cubes and I still had two cubes left. Definitely worth the buy as a reminder the compression comes from the sides not like a vacuum seal on my return trip home I was able to pick up one of the cubes and move them to a different bag so that I could meet my weight easy Peezy 10 out of 10

I used these cubes on a trip across the country last week. They worked very well. They saved space in my suitcase, one that meets the smaller European specifications for a carry-on bag, and they kept my clothes organized and, a little surprisingly, unwrinkled.I fit 7 pairs of pants in the large cube; 4 tops and a tank top in one medium cube and 4 tops in the second medium cube; and 8 underwear, 2 bras, and 7 pairs of socks in the small cube. They all closed with little effort, although I was extra careful to make sure no material got caught in the compression zipper. My soft-sided suitcase didn't bulge at all. The bags were easy to pull from the suitcase and carry because of the handles. The reasonable price makes them a no-brainer for the traveler who is limited to fitting everything into only a carry-on bag and a personal item.

Bought these for an African safari tour since we had to travel compact and lightweight in duffel bags. These worked wonderfully! PROS: As long as you don’t OVERpack them, the bags’ fabric and zippers are very durable. I didn’t come close to ripping any seams. Having multiple sizes is a plus. Yes, at the end of the day I packed too much for the trip (I like options!) but for illustration purposes: I rolled 5-6 pants, shirts and pjs into the largest one without difficulty. A medium one held 4-6 rolled short sleeved shirts and the smaller ones held all of my hiking socks, underwear, sports bras, tankini swimsuit and a scarf or two. I used the drawstring bag for dirty laundry, and the non-compressible bag for sunscreen, bug lotion, hand wipes, non-prescription meds and so on. The bags washed up well when we got home. CONS: Just because your clothes are smaller doesn’t make them any lighter. Be aware of this for trips where you have a smaller weight limit! They were also a little wrinkled from being compressed, but with proper folding, this can be minimized. I will definitely use them again to pack for other trips so I can use a smaller suitcase. Highly recommend!

These packing cubes really compress so you can pack lots of clothes in a small area. Easy to use and they seem to be very sturdy. Look forward to using them in upcoming travel.

I have mixed feelings about these bags. PROS: They do compress your clothes. In the large, I was able to compress two pairs of jeans and two denim maxi skirts. And was able to fit several t-shirts and sweaters in others. It was also nice to have one dedicated bag for underclothing. I think these would work for the well seasoned traveler who has their packing down to an art form or always packs using the capsule wardrobe principle. CONS: You have to “Ranger Roll” your clothes prior to cubing them and then it may take two people to close: one to zip and the other to push down on cube so zipper can make it all the way around. Another problem was that I could never remember in what cube my items were in. I KNOW they come with cardboard inserts to label each cube, but I didn’t want to write on them because we travel often and depending on season, I may use every cube for a different type of clothing. “Bottoms” won’t always be the big bag and “Tops” might not always be in the medium bags. Not a deal breaker and I KNOW I can just make my own labels, but it was just a minor inconvenience.
