I bought this book on a whim as I had a passing interest in electronics. I thought it was just a basic introduction, but it isn't. I knew some very basic stuff, and this book refreshed that, but it has so much more in it. The author has excellent economy of language and never puts in more information than is needed. It is in easy steps too. This is one of my favourite text books, because of its economy. It might push you to watch some videos, not because of lack of clarity of the text - but because it insires your interest.

This provides an overview of many of the basic components of electronics and what they do as such its a good primer to aid understanding of more indepth texts.

Purchased this for my son, gives a good idea of all the main technologies.

I liked this series of book but I found this is not so good than another parts.

Really great reference and learning guide. A must for the DIY beginner in electronics. I checked out a few other books and they all fell short!

This concise little book provides an excellent overview of Basic electronics, ideally suited for a hobbyist or someone trying to review. Interestingly this is a British book and includes both American and European symbols and notation
