Is this an "afternoon" tea because there is less caffeine than Brodie's Breakfast?

It is considered to have milder flavor (compared with the breakfast tea). The manufacturer doesn't specify the caffeine levels and they don't currently offer a caffeine free tea.

What is the optimal steeping time and temperature?

Temperature should be boiling hot; if the water is hot enough, you'll only need to step for 3 minutes or so for good, strong tea. Enjoy!

I first bought this in Edinburgh after having it at high tea in the afternoon - it’s by far my favorite (and I’m a avid tea person!)

This tea is simply fabulous. The taste is so good that I can drink it without any additives. There is not a trace of bitterness or heavy lingering taste. I have now purchased the other flavors in this brand and cannot wait to try them.
